“I miss you.” My heart skips a beat.
“I miss you too. Daddy will be home soon, okay?”
“Okay, but are you bringing Mommy home too?” I freeze, how the fuck do I answer that?
“Meelz, come on Uncle Cook wants you,” I hear Gage say, the bastard has me on speaker phone. I smirk, well played brother, well played.
“Bye, Daddy. I love you.”
“Bye, baby. I love you to.” I wait a second before Gage speaks.
“She’s gone.”
“Speakerphone huh?” He chuckles.
“What can I say, I thought you might need saving and you did.”
“Thank you.” He’s silent for a beat before he answers.
“Anytime, brother.” I end the call and gaze up at the building, I’ll wait a few more hours before I tear shit up and get answers from my girl. I pray to God she isn’t a fucking plant because I don’t know if I would be able to watch the life drain from her eyes.

Allison
Ican feel eyes on me. I slowly roll over and freeze, a shadow stands in the corner of my room and I choke down my scream. I slowly sit up in bed and clutch the blanket to my chest, I’ve been plagued with nightmares every single night since Koby brought me here. I don’t sleep. I may drift off but I wake only after a couple moments. My room is shrouded in darkness, the figure steps forward and a whimper escapes me—I knew we made it of there too easy. I knew they would come back to silence me! In a second the figure is on top of me with a hand clamped over my mouth muting my scream, tears fall on their accord. I thrash beneath the heavy weight of him on top of me, I won’t go down without a fucking fight.
“You played me, baby.” I still, everything inside me freezes at the sound of his voice. I breath in through my nose and try to calm my nerves, he’s here! “I’m gonna move my hand and if you scream, I’ll put a bullet in your head without remorse, nod if you understand.” I gulp as I nod. He moves off me and I scramble to sit up. I move to switch on the bedside lamp and I’m blinded for a moment. I blink a couple times before I focus on him. His hair is a mess as if he has been tugging at the strands, his eyes haunted, black circles evident beneath his eyes.
“King…” I breath, his eyes narrow and I clamp my mouth shut. His eyes scan over me taking in my yellowing bruises that cover my body. He rips the covers from my legs and I automatically tense. He runs his hands down my thighs and I fight the urge to pull my legs back, his thumbs skim over my battered and bruised flesh.
“What did they do to you?” he whispers so low I can barely make the words out. I don’t bother answering. The bruises between my inner thighs are evidence enough of what I went through at the hands of his enemies.
“They didn’t do shit!” I’m proud of how my voice doesn’t waiver and I sound strong even though I feel anything but that. His gaze lazily flicks back to mine. He has his emotions shut down so I can’t see what he is thinking.
“I’m gonna ask you this once… don’t lie to me, Allison.”
“Don’t you dare come in here and make demands of me!” I snap.
“Or what? You’ll scream for your Russian boyfriend to come save you?” My eyes widen in horror, he knows about Dimitri! “You played me so good, baby. Your pussy and good girl virgin act was something I never saw coming. You used my daughter to get inside my head. You used your charms to lull me into loving you… I fucking let you into my family and you betray me!” I flinch at the angry tone of his voice.
“You don’t know anything!” He reaches out but I flinch away. A pained look enters his eyes and I hate that he can see the fear inside me, the feartheyinstalled in me.
“Fuck!” He scrubs a hand down his face. “Allison, I don’t want to hurt you!” The anguish is evident in his tone.
“Then don’t,” I plead.
“Are you working with the Russian’s?” I bite my lip and watch as his gaze hardens.
“It’s… complicated.” He bares his teeth and I grimace.
“Uncomplicate it, Allison, I need to know now!”
“Why?” He jumps to his feet and begins to pace the length of my room.
“Because if you are, I have to… get the information from you the only way I know how.” I gasp.
“You would rape me?” He stills and stares down at me in horror.
