I turned to unlock the door and he placed his hands on my hips as I pushed it open. I'd barely closed and locked it when he pulled my back against his chest and wrapped his arms around me.

Then his breath was on my neck, followed by his lips.

"I want you." His voice was muffled by my skin. "I want you so bad."

I could barely think straight much less form coherent words, but I managed a sound of agreement before melting back against him. I wanted him more than I had ever wanted any guy before in my entire life. Enough to put aside any doubts and let myself go.

I finally managed to say, "I want you too."

He slid a hand down my back, taking the zip of my dress down with it. His hand brushed passed my bare skin as he went. Setting every inch of it on fire on the way.

I stepped out of it and let it fall to the floor. I took a moment to thank past me for putting on nice underwear, even though this wasn't supposed to be a date. The black lace was a good choice. Even better when it joined my dress on the floor a moment later.

"You're so beautiful," he said nuzzling my neck. Then his hands were all over me and I was leading him to my bedroom. We left his clothes scattered behind us as we went.

"No, you," I said. All of him was just as ripped as his stomach and chest. And his tattoos continued down his legs. He looked like a statue or maybe a guy who was created in photoshop. Either way, he didn't look real, but he felt real.

He chuckled right before our lips met in a searing hot kiss that almost melted the rest of me. I tasted beer and pizza on his lips, felt the tickle of stubble from his chin. His tongue stroked my mouth, asking before I opened and let him slide inside. Without breaking the kiss, he scooped me up and carried me over to my bed. He set me down and lay down beside me. He kissed his way down my chest, over my stomach and down between my legs.

We took our time teasing and tasting and exploring each other. He kept his word about making sure I finished first, before he sank his hard length into me and I was lost completely.

Hayley

I woke in a groggy, but blissed out haze. I opened my eyes a crack and took a few moments to assess and orient myself.

My apartment, check.

My bed, check.

Rock star next to me, check.

Wait, what?

I opened my eyes fully. Axel was still asleep, long lashes almost brushing his cheek.

Shit.

Shit, shit, shit.

What had I done? Okay, I knew what I had done and how many times we did it, but what was I thinking at the time?

Hayley’s rule number one, don't sleep with the talent. Sleeping with Axel was all sorts of wrong.

Why then, had it felt so right? We fit together like we were made for each other. Every moment was comfortable and natural and really, really good.

But if anyone found out, I could be really, really screwed.

I picked up my phone from the table beside the bed and glanced at the time. Thankfully it wasn't blown up with messages and I wasn't late for work. Thank goodness for that at least.

I carefully slid out of bed and padded over the carpeted floor to the bathroom. My mind was going roughly a million miles an hour. I couldn't exactly sneak out without him noticing, since this was my apartment. I wasn't worried about leaving him alone with my stuff, but it would be weird to disappear on him like that. If it was his place, I’d just grab my clothes and hurry out the door before anyone saw me.

I did the only thing I could do. I turned on the shower and stepped inside. If nothing else, I didn't want to be late into the office. Somewhere between the bed and here, my professional, efficient brain kicked in. The part of me that was all business most of the time. Except when I got caught up in the moment.

I winced as the water went from comfortably warm to too hot and then too cold. Being an older building, the plumbing wasn't the best, and most of the residents were likely also showering and getting ready for work. The sudden changes in temperature were the result. After three years of living here, I should be used to it, but it wasn't something a person got used to. Especially when it turned ice cold in the middle of winter.

One of these days, I'd find somewhere else to live.
