I move around a little and try to think of something else as I will the bulge in my jeans to deflate a little. But when she reappears, I’m sucked back in. She’s taken the towel off her head and is running her fingers through her dark hair.

But it sure as hell looks different now. As she pulls the towel from her head, her straight hair is replaced with hundreds of dark springy curls. They’re wild and untamed, and they seem to suit her face more than the straight hair.

“Your hair,” I say quietly.

“Oh yeah. I usually straighten it, but this is it in its natural state. A bit more on the wild side, huh?” She lets out a nervous laugh.

“I like it,” I say to reassure her. “You should wear it like that more often.”

Her cheeks blush once more, and she walks toward the back of the large deck, looking out over the ranch.

“This is quite the production you have going on here,” she says.

“Yeah, it’s really grown the past couple of years. I’m probably going to have to start construction on another building, though, to keep up with demand.”

“Wow.” Most women would say the words while feigning being interested, but the way Andi says it is so much more genuine. Or maybe I just imagine it.

I can’t help but chuckle when I watch her try to get the top off her beer. Holding out my hand, I take the bottle from her and twist it off before handing it back to her.

“Thanks.”

“Not much of a beer drinker, huh?” I ask.

“You got me,” she laughs. “I’m more of a wine gal. I might not be able to get the top off a beer, but I’m a whiz with a corkscrew.”

“Ah. I have to say I don’t know much about wine.”

She takes a sip of the beer, and her face scrunches up at the taste.

“Don’t like it, huh?” My deep laugh rumbles around us.

“No, it’s great.” Another sip and another horrible face.

“If you don’t like it, you don’t have to drink it.”

“I don’t want to be wasteful. Maybe if I chug it, it won’t be so bad.” She tries taking a couple of large gulps and starts coughing. “Nope. Worse.”

“I guess we will just have to get you some wine.” I give her a wink.

Her hand goes up in front of her. “Please, you are already doing enough letting me crash here for the night. Do not go out of your way for me. Really, I don’t need much.”

“Well, I want to make you feel welcome. Just for argument's sake, what kind of wine do you like?”

She pretends she’s sealing her lips shut. “Nope. Not telling you that.”

“Look, Andi, if you don’t tell me, I’ll just have to buy a bottle of everything the liquor store sells. And then, I’ll have more wine than I can ever drink.”

She rolls her eyes. “Okay, okay. I like anything sweet. Usually, the cheaper, the better, but I mean it. Don’t buy me any wine.” Her finger points at me while she speaks.

A few minutes later, I’m taking our steaks inside and putting them on a couple of plates along with a baked potato and some broccoli. I set our plates on either side of the small table in my kitchen and grab her a soda.

She smiles as I set it down in front of her.

She cuts into her steak and takes the first bite, and lets out the most sensual moan I’ve ever heard in my life. My tongue runs across my bottom lip as I stare at her, wondering if it’s the same way she moans when a man is inside her.

I have to adjust myself in my chair as she releases another moan.

When she catches me staring, she wipes her mouth and nervously smiles. “Sorry. It’s been a long time since I’ve had steak.”
