“You hungry?” He kissed my forehead, and I pulled him in for more, taking his lips with surprising force.

We’d kissed a little last night, but were both too tired for much else. He from travel, me…from everything.

Drey would never leave me. He’d do anything to help me. He’d…live with me. With him by my side, I could face what I needed to.

Nicco.

If that meant testifying and witness protection, then fine. As long as Drey was with me. I slid my hand down his back and beneath his boxers to cup his tight ass. He moaned, and his kiss intensified.

But then he abruptly stopped. “Hey now. No tempting the groom.”

“We’re really doing this? You got a justice of the peace set up to come here? How—”

“Seems Rhonda, the owner’s wife, is somewhat of a romantic…and connected.”

I hadn’t seen much of anyone here. Besides knocking a few times on the door to make sure I was okay, they’d left me alone for the most part. I’d told them I was a writer and needed to finish a novel before deadline.

“I think they’re hoping they’ll land in your book.” He grinned. “Writer, huh?”

I shrugged as I gripped his butt harder. “Just a little taste?”

“Of some bacon and eggs, yes.” He tapped a kiss to my nose. “You need your strength. You could float away in a strong breeze. Plus, it’s not every day you get married.”

“Married…wait. Married! Paperwork. I didn’t—”

“Shhh, I got it all from your apartment. Bill swears by it—says it’ll hold up to anyone analyzing it.” He rested his hand on my chest.

“Tease.”

“You told me your real first name was Rachel, but what’s your last name?” Drey asked, tracing his finger along my bottom lip.

“Rachel Powers.” He really was a tease. I’d been without him for nine days now and it was liquefying my insides.

“You okay with being Sarah Meyers now?”

“Wow, that sounds awesome.”

“How’d you pick Sarah?”

“Means princess. I’d always…I wanted a fairy tale, so…”

“I get it.” He kissed my lips. “Let me give you a piece of that today. Will you? Because youaremy princess.”

“Hmmm.”

“But that means I need to get out of this bed. Like, right now.”

I pulled him in for a kiss. “Just a little more…”

Chapter Forty-Six

Drey

“Ido.”Sarah’seyesbrimmed with tears, but they were bright. Happy.

I vowed to see that happiness every single day for the rest of my life.Everyday.

The way she tempted me upstairs earlier, I almost didn’t make it down here keeping my vow to stay sexually pure for my wedding day.
