“Poor man,” Isaac said taking a sip of his whiskey.

“I don’t know Dad, changing your habits might not be too bad of an idea. Since Gabby’s started taking care of me I’ve never felt better,” Wyatt said.

“I think that is for a different reason than food,” Isaac laughed.

“Well there’s no denying that reason Dad, but Gabby’s cooking has certainly done a thing or two for me. You haven’t heard me complain about the lack of red meat have you?”

“You don’t eat red meat?” one of the business associate of Wyatt asked.

“Not for about fourteen years now, we don’t get along well,” Gabby laughed.

“But you served steak at the wedding,” Melanie said.

“We did but that was only because Wyatt insisted I not take out my distaste of it on everyone else. I tend to stick with chicken and turkey for most recipes and there’s always fish…I can’t tell you how many different ways I’ve heard Wyatt try and weasel his way out of trying something new.”

“Or how many different ways I’ve had to make up for not wanting to try her creations, because that’s what they are,” Wyatt told them. “Maybe next time instead of going out we should cook dinner for everyone at home, treat our friends to some of your culinary masterpieces.”

“We’ll see, half the time you spring these things on me at the last second. Give me some advanced notice and it’ll be much easier for me to figure out a menu that won’t take days to prepare,” Gabby said.

“You cook, you volunteer, and from what I’ve heard you’re a genius when it comes to computers,” Rita stated. “So what else are you great at?”

“Everything she attempts,” Wyatt answered.

“Well then when are you two going to start a family?” Melanie asked. “Gabby’s amazing with the kids at the center, I don’t know how she does it but somehow she can get through to any of them and the parents…we’ve had more people from the surrounding shelters inform us that they found out about them thanks to Gabby,” she added for the benefit of the others at the table.

“Um…well, I don’t…” Gabby said blushing slightly.

“Mel,” Vince said with a light warning.

“Too personal, okay, but it’s true,” Melanie said with a laugh.

“Gabby is amazing with kids, I’ve seen it firsthand,” Wyatt agreed. “We’ve decided to let nature dictate though, so I guess it’ll happen when it happens.”

“Ah, that’s what the blush was for,” Rita smiled, “for a moment there I’d wondered if perhaps you two already had started it.”

“Are you kidding?” Joan laughed. “If Gabby were pregnant my brother wouldn’t be able to keep it quiet…” she added trailing off as Morris approached their table.

“Sorry to interrupt boss,” Morris said before turning to Joan, “nice to see you again Joanie.”

“It’s Joan, Morris,” she replied as her back stiffened.

“What is it Morris?” Wyatt asked.

“There’s been a development with the Graves situation,” he said.

“What sort of development?” the associate asked.

“He’s escaped federal custody,” Morris stated.

“What?” Wyatt said in shock.

“Do they know where he went?” Gabby inquired as thoughts of him going after Haley flashed through her mind.

“No, they’re figuring that he’s had some money stashed somewhere in case this sort of thing happened and that he’s headed out of the country,” Morris said.

“I see,” she said biting the inside of her cheek to stop her worry from showing.

“Don’t worry Gabby, I’m sure they’ll find the man,” Wyatt told her understanding her concern. “Was there anything else?” he added when Morris didn’t leave.
