Her arms were in the air above her head as she swayed to the music, her eyes closed as she absorbed it. Her bodyguard's jaw was so tense I could see the muscle ticking from here. She opened her eyes and tried to coax him onto the floor with her. He gave a shake of his head and looked away. Bellamy took that opportunity to slip in behind her, his hands wrapped around her middle as he tugged her back into him. The strange part was I couldn't see him trying to feed, not that he could while in the club, but he was a demon, and sometimes they didn't care about the rules.

He spun her in his arms, and I took a step forward as her gaze landed on him. There was a mixture of emotions that flew across her face that had me pausing. Lust, anger, curiosity, all of them were present. Her bodyguard noticed the situation as I crossed the floor. So much for protecting her. If Bellamy even used a fraction of his incubus ability on her, she would have been long gone before he even noticed. Lex arrived at the same time I did. The three of us, like bulls in a china shop, were all determined to save her from the grasp of a demon that she was trained to kill.

The irony.

The guard reached for her arm first, tugging her away from Bellamy. Lex put himself between them, and I watched because that was what the Gods did. Never interfered.

"What the fuck, Raiden!" Her angry voice carried over the music as she slapped him in the chest. "I know what I'm doing."

His equally angry words were too low for me to catch. Breaking out of my inaction, I moved to Bellamy's side. Lex's attention landed on me, and his eyes went wide.

"Alastor, you aren't welcome here," he said.

The woman turned toward me, and I could feel her appraising me with her stare. I wanted to puff out my chest and strut like a peacock, showing her what a suitable mate I'd be.

Tamping down on my desire, I looked around at the area before dragging my gaze back to Lex. "I thought this was a place for all Supernaturals to come in peace and harmony or some bullshit."

"Out." He pointed to the exit as I made fun of his ideology.

Cerberus growled, and the woman's attention caught on him. She pulled away from her bodyguard and moved over to the beast next to me. He tried to snag her wrist and drag her back, but she shook him off as she dropped to her knees in front of my three-headed beast. Lex's gaze snapped to her, and he stepped forward as she reached out, letting Cer sniff her.

"Such a pretty puppy, huh?" She baby-talked my companion as if he was an actual dog and not some creation made as a gift from the old Fae King to my father. One of his heads grinned at her as she ran her fingers through his fur. The other two begged for the same attention. "What's their name?" Her green eyes landed on me, knocking the breath from my body. It didn't matter that Bellamy was stepping away from us and slowly escaping. She trapped me in her intense gaze, putting me at the mercy of her next smile. Was this what my father felt anytime my mom looked at him?

"Cer is what I call him," I replied, and she gifted me with another one of her dazzling smiles. He licked the side of her face, and she laughed.

"Nice to meet you, Cer," she said as she gave the other two attention. They were putty in her hands, just like me, apparently. "I'm Sam," she said as her eyes came back to me.

"Alastor at your service, my lady." I half bowed before I caught myself. I was treating her like an actual Goddess. Her chuckle made me want to make her laugh again.

"Where did you get this one, Lex?" she asked as a grin spread across her face, and she stood up.

"The very depths of Hell, where he will return," Lex growled.

"Don't mind Lex, it's just been a while since he's seen me. Still in shock." I shrugged.

"Shit," she muttered as she realized Bellamy had left. "He got away, Rai."

"No hunting in the club, Samantha," Lex chided her, and she laughed, her head thrown back.

"I gotta do something about this extra energy, and you already said you were too busy. And Rai—" she paused and looked at her bodyguard, who promptly flushed under her attention. "He is off limits. How about you, Alastor, do you know how to fuck a girl?"

I choked on air, as I was sure I heard her wrong. What girl asked a stranger that question?

"You aren't fucking Alastor," Lex growled. "I'll make time."

He snagged her hand and dragged her away before I could even gather my wits about me and accept her offer. She tossed a look and a wave over her shoulder to me as he led her through the crowd and into a hallway. Her bodyguard stood stunned next to me, and I met his eyes.

"If you so clearly want her, dragon, why don't you claim her?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.

"It's a little more complicated than that. You're Hades's son?" he questioned as he turned toward me, half his attention on the hallway.

"Does my reputation proceed me?"

"Just a little bit," he said dryly.
