Also, the man has a family, even a child.

“Are you okay?” Grace asks again.

I smile and nod. “Of course. It’s just that I feel guilty about Seth’s pathetic relationship.”

Grace huffs. “If he didn’t want to be with her, he would’ve dumped her months ago. I just hope this doesn’t end up a tragedy.”

“You and me both,” I confirm.

There’sa little drama in the middle of the wedding. Coco dares to insult Teddy, and my cousin finally grows a backbone and breaks up with his girlfriend.

Nathan, the baby of the Bradleys, and I are by the bar celebrating.

“I was about to do some major damage to her social media,” Nathan mentions while we clink our glasses.

“Can you imagine if he ended up marrying her?” I joke because I wouldn’t have let that happen.

He snorts. “He wouldn’t be the first Bradley-Decker having to annul a marriage.”

Nope, that would be him.

“How are you doing?” I ask.

He grins. “I’m always doing great.”

“And your parents and siblings believe it?”

“Most of the time,” he admits. “Listen, it was a bad breakup, but what can you do?”

“I could kill her,” I offer.

“She’s not worth your time or mine—and most importantly, it’s been two years.”

I don’t know what I would do if I were in his shoes. His girlfriend from high school cheated on him and made him believe she was expecting his baby. It wasn’t until the child's father came to claim him that things went down.

“Speaking of bad relationships and shady characters…” He clears his throat. “So, this guy Finnegan Gil. Do you know he wasn’t doing book research? He actually set up a security company.”

My nostrils flare. I don’t want to think about the asshole. If I didn’t have an ironclad NDA, I would happily search for him and kick his ass. “In his defense, he did write two books and has a contract to write five more.”

Nathan laughs. “Then, he’s an overachieving asshole.”

“I take it you’re still exchanging information with him?”

Nathan nods. “Yes. We swap software, intel, and even recipes.”

“He cooks?”

Nathan shrugs. “I’m kidding. Can you imagine agents exchanging recipes? He’s good though. If possible, I would join our companies for a few missions. He helped us during a rescue. I just didn’t tell Dad.”

“Is he one of the good guys?”

“Yeah, he is. Though I can’t find much about him.”

“What does that mean?”

“He’s a ghost, unlike his partner Derek.”

“You mean my partner.”
