“Hmm, so you’re loaded.” He can be the billionaire who’ll finance the security company if Dad doesn’t want to be a part of it.

“Sounds like you’re making plans with my money.”

“Not just yours, also my father’s. I want to start a private security company.”

“Why do we want to do that?”

I tell him what happened with Charles and how some of his archeologist friends encounter thieves and other dangerous characters during their expeditions.

“We could use people with your background to help others.”

“I’m interested, but how do I find you?” he asks.

“Finnegan.”

“What?”

“My name is Finnegan. My father calls me Finn.”

“You have a dad?”

“Yes. He saved me and adopted me.”

“I’m happy you’re okay, Finn.”

“Well, I’m better than when we met. So, any girlfriend or boyfriend?” I ask casually.

“Umm, no.”

A pang of jealousy hits me. “There was a pause. It’s okay if you’re dating someone.”

“We’re a pair, huh?” he says, and we both laugh.

“Listen, D, I have a trip scheduled. I’ll be back in a couple of months, but why don’t I call you when I’m back, and we can plan on getting together.”

“Where do you live?”

“We’ll talk about that when I’m ready, D.”

“Take care of yourself, Finn.”
