“Ladies, how are you doing this morning?”

They turned to see Grant Fierce standing in the doorway.

“Good,” Megan said. “How are you?”

“Better now that I see the two of you together.”

He was eying them back and forth and she figured she might as well let him know. “Raina is aware I’m dating a bull.”

Raina burst out laughing. “That is what you are referring to my brother as? At least it’s appropriate.”

“Good news,” Grant said. “And things are well all around?”

“As good as they can be this early,” she said.

Grant frowned and she wasn’t sure what to make of that. “I’m glad things are working well,” he said and moved on.

“Wonder what that is about?” she asked.

“Probably just not moving fast enough for them,” Raina said. “And I should get to work too.”

* * *

“What is your rush?”Garrett asked when Grant came into his office and shut the door fast.

“Raina knows.”

“Knows what?” Garrett asked.

“That Jonah and Megan are dating.”

“Okay, that’s good. And they are fine?”

“Yep. I heard them laughing and sort of overheard the conversation a little with Jonah’s name so I stopped to see if they’d tell me.”

“You’re horrible when it comes to eavesdropping,” Garrett said.

He’d been caught doing it with Raina when he was trying to set her up with Cody too. Whatever worked, in his mind.

“What’s the big deal?” he asked. “The door was open.”

“So they know. It’s all good. Our work is done there,” Garrett said.

“No. It can’t be done. That was too easy. We have to do more. It should be faster by now, right?”

Garrett shook his head. “You’re worse than your wife. I say right now, let that one play out. We’ve got too many things going on with work. We can pat ourselves on the back and move on.”

“No,” he told his twin. “We never move on until there is an engagement. But you’re right. They are on the right track. Everyone seems to be doing great. Walker is engaged. Flynn and Julia are doing well. Jolene said Ivan and Kendra are going at their own pace. Guess you’re right. We can put this from our minds.”

“Yep. Until we figure out who to work on next,” Garrett said.

He pointed his finger at his brother. “I knew you were into this as much as me.”

Garrett laughed with him. “Just don’t tell our wives.”
