“If you’re trying to seduce me, it’s working,”he rumbled back.
A barked laugh escaped me.
“I love you too, Polaris. So damn much.”His voice was warm, and I moved closer to his side. Our fur brushed as we ran, and as the sun set over our heads, I admitted to myself that I was happy.
Stupidly, ridiculously happy.
And no matter what we were going to face next, I refused to let that change.

Priel
We stoppedfor the night when we reached the lake. None of us men were willing to watch our women fly into the darkness to go after the female fae; they could wait until the sun was up so we could at least see where they disappeared at and figure out a way to go after them if we needed to.
I trusted North’s magic enough not to think that would be necessary, but some of the others weren’t as certain.
And I wanted to spend the night with her first, in case the trip took a few days. I despised the thought of having my female away from me for any amount of time, but there might not be a way around it.
For the sake of peace, I would survive it. Not happily, but survival was survival.
Sunny, Dots, and Mare all made their beds together, with their men nearby, watching them. Sunny invited Teris to share her blankets, but the moron turned her down.
Why he would turn down the female he’d claimed when she clearly wanted him was beyond me, but I sure as hell wasn’t getting involved.
Lian and January went off together, and North grabbed my hand, drawing me away from everyone else too.
She was exhausted, so when she collapsed into my arms, I simply stroked her back, enjoying her presence.
There would be time for sex later.
Plenty of time.
An eternity.
That thought made my lips curve upward.
I drifted off to sleep quickly too, and didn’t wake up until North was shaking my shoulders, positioned over me with bright, excited eyes.
“I saw the future,” she told me, a bit breathless. “Ahappyfuture, Priel. There were kids, running around. Unseelies weresmiling. I was right; we made the right choice.”
“Of course you were right.” I pulled her face down to mine, kissing her gently.
“I know you didn’t doubt me, but I doubted me. And there were so many nightmares…” she shivered. “I don’t think I can sleep right now. I’m too excited.”
“Need me to relax you?” I murmured, sliding my hands down to her perfect little ass and squeezing lightly.
Her eyes dilated a bit, and she looked at the trees around us. “Here?”
“Why not?” My fingers slid beneath the hem of her shorts. “Make sure you’re loud enough that the other men know how good I am at pleasuring you.”
She laughed, until I dragged a finger over her clit.
Then, she shuddered.
And as I made love to her on the floor of the forest, I knew without a shadow of doubt that I was the luckiest male in our world.
