She smiles and folds her arms on the table, leaning forward to push her tits up. “Sane is boring.”

“That’s what I say,” Kas says with glee, laughing to sell it as a joke.

Kas focuses his attention on Willow next. “That’s a gorgeous necklace,” he tells her.

Willow fingers the green pendant hanging from a gold chain. “Thank you.”

“Wait, I have to see that ring,” he says, reaching for her hand. “It’s so unique.”

She gives him her hand, her eyes flickering to mine briefly.

“Oh, us and a couple other of our friends went through a DIY jewelry phase. Willow made that ring. We made all sorts of stuff. Rings, earrings, bracelets,” Cora rattles off.

He holds her hand delicately as he inspects the jewelry.

“I used gold wire to create the band, and this is a green aventurine gemstone, but I also have them with obsidian and rose quartz.” She laughs. “Probably more. You don’t want to see my jewelry box.”

“Maybe I do,” he says softly before easing back.

Willow tucks her hair behind her ear, gaze bouncing between us. He’s got her in his grasp already. All he has to do is sink his talons into her.

For the next thirty minutes, Kaspian talks to everyone at the table, answering their questions, making them laugh, and then leaves just to return with a round of shots. He completely forgets about the girls he was with earlier, and they eventually leave.

Cora gets asked to dance by a guy, and shortly after, Jason decides to leave. The three of us remain at the table, and Kaspian says, “Well, I didn’t mean to be the third wheel here.”

Willow giggles, her eyes a little glassier thanks to the liquor. “You’re not. It’s fine.”

Kas raises his brows at me. “Well, good. I mean, I always say the more the merrier anyway.”

“Me too!” Willow squeals.

“And three is the perfect number,” he adds, giving her a pointed look.

She studies me before getting lost in Kaspian’s spell again. “I think so too.” Her eyes roam my face. “What about you, Ezra?” she asks before sinking her teeth into her bottom lip.

A pregnant pause follows before I say, “I think it’s perfect.”

Her eyes light up, relieved by my answer. She’s been worried this whole time. She likes me, but she’s attracted to him too. I’ll admit, it’s hard to fight the magnetism of his charisma, even if it is fake, so I don’t blame her. Afterall, it’s why he’s so good at what he does. If it wasn’t for me, she’d quickly become another victim.

Cora arrives at the table in tears. “Willow, can we go? I want to go home.”

“What happened?” she asks, standing up to hold her friend’s hands.

“I don’t want to talk about it right now. Please, can we go?”

Willow looks back at us, disappointment on her face, but she’s a good friend and Cora will come before a possible threesome. “See you guys later.”

“Text me and let me know you got home safely,” I tell her.

She smiles. “I will.”

Kaspian sighs. “So, Will is Willow and Jason’s clearly never had a flirtatious encounter with a man.”

I shake my head. “I told you.”

“You didn’t tell me about Willow.”

“Maybe I wanted you to stay a little jealous.”
