She turned her head, taking in the truth-or-dare show that had aired about three years ago. It was a show that she had been addicted to. "You watch this?" She looked at him, shocked.

He nodded. "I love the ideas that they come up with." He beamed at her. "Did you see that episode where the couple had to walk across that bridge a hundred feet in the air, or they had to call their parents and tell them their deepest secrets?"

She nodded. "I couldn't believe the wife did the walk and the husband told his secret."

He shook his head. "Did you know they got divorced a month after they did that episode?"

"No." She stared at him. "Why?"

He shook his head. "The wife was cheating on the husband. They showed it at the very end. That's why she did the walk."

She was shocked. "I wouldn't have figured that. But I now see why she chose the dare rather than the truth."

As they relaxed and watched the show begin, she looked at Benton. A question was nagging in her mind, a question she wasn't sure she wanted to ask. She needed to.

"Where is your next game?"

She watched Benton's face slip slightly as he looked at her. He swallowed. "It's in Nevada."

She looked at his hands which had stopped stroking her legs. Inwardly, her tiger whimpered.

She knew that just because they were mates didn't mean their lives would stop. Benton was still a poker player, and he had other games lined up. She couldn't just expect that to stop suddenly.

"When do you leave?"

"I need to head out soon if I want to make it in time."

She looked at the TV and the couple in that episode. They were happy, and she wanted that. "Will you be coming back?"

"Of course." He tilted his head. "If that's what you want."

"Yes, I do. I just … I mean … What are we?"

He smiled at her. "You don't know?"

"I mean, I do," she said, waving a hand. She didn't need him to say anything to know they were dating. "But our relationship would have to be long distance. Would you be okay with that?"

He nodded, his hands going back to rubbing at her legs. "I'm fine with that. It's just for now."

Yeah, just for now. She didn't know how long it would be, but it would have to do. Once they were farther along in their relationship, they could talk about everything in more detail. Everything was still fresh.

They were still getting to know each other, and she was sure they both had secrets that they hadn't shared. She did. It made sense they didn't overturn their lives for each other without knowing more. It was a smart idea.

Her stomach twisted, wishing it was different. The mating pull was strong, and she didn't want to be away from Benton. She wondered if he felt the same for her.

"So you leave tomorrow?" she asked, wanting to make sure she was right.

"Yeah, I'll have to hit the road. I can call you when the tournament ends, and I can come right back. I don't want to be away from you that long."

She smiled, knowing he felt as she did. He felt the pull just like her. "Please do."

That meant tonight was their last night together until after his next game. So, she wanted to make the most of it. Why not? She pulled her legs back and crawled closer to him on the couch. Benton's eyebrows went up as she crawled onto his lap, straddling him. He smiled at her.

"Well, if that's the case, I don't want to waste any more time."

"I can second that." His arms went around, cupping her ass and scooting her closer to him. She could feel his hard cock against her center, and she moaned internally.

She pulled his mouth toward hers, and he kissed her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and moaned.
