“You think our kids would have wings?” he said, after the kissing.

“The raven mocker thing usually skips generations,” she said. “But scales and wings seems kind of like the best of both worlds, doesn’t it?” She dragged her hands down his chest. “It’s funny, I used to not want to saddle someone with the genetics of it, like it was a curse or something.”

“I don’t believe in curses,” he said.

“Me either,” she said.

“Well, that’s settled,” he said. He laid his head back down. “But, uh, this babies thing? Can we talk about that or is that just dealbreaker status for you?”

She snickered, her whole body shaking against his.

“I’m serious,” he said.

“I have to pee,” she said.

“Okay,” he said, moving off of her.

She peered up at him. “I can’t move my legs, babe.”

“Right,” he said, bending down to pick her up.

She giggled.

“Freaking venom,” he grunted.
