“It’s just a broken phone,” I sulk, noting the whine in my voice.

“No, it’s not. First, you have let yourself get behind in your coursework to the point you have to type up an essay the night before it’s due. Then you rely on the college’s computers to do your work when you could use ours here or have your own. Plus, the fact that if that phone decided to stop working you would have no way of getting in touch with us, or your security team if there was an emergency.”

“How did you do your essays before moving in here?” Sean asks as I slump back into the sofa.

“On my laptop, until I sold it. Then I used the school computer lab,” I sulk as I cross my arms over my chest.

“Do you always leave them until the night before?”

I look at him and shrug. “Depends how busy I’ve been, or how hard they are.”

“Is this one hard?”

I shake my head. “No, it can be typed and uploaded in a few hours.”

I hear Christian sigh and look up as he holds his phone to his ear.

“Add a phone, and tablet to the list. Get whatever you think she needs folders, notepads, pens the works.”

I stare at him open-mouthed and realise I can hear Jason’s voice on the other end of the phone. “I will set her up with a study area in the office she can work in there with one of us supervising as we work.”

“I don’t need babysitting!” I protest.

“Obviously you do!” Christian snaps as he goes back to speaking to Jason on the phone. I feel Sean put his arm around me and pull me against his side. I want to shrug it off and put some distance between us, but he just tightens his hold on me when I try.

“We are only doing this because we care and know how important your studies are to you.”

“I know what I’m doing, and how to study,” I sigh as I turn to look at him. “Can’t you tell him he’s being unfair?” I ask as I look up through my lashes, but Sean shakes his head smiling.

“That look won’t work on me princess, I agree with him. Now, how about we sit down and write up what work you have to do and when it has to be in and we can work out a study schedule together. That way you can show him that you are going to do as you are told and keep on top of everything.”

“What’s he going to do if I don’t? Send me to my room like a naughty child?” I snap. Sean looks at me and shakes his head.

“No, but I will be withholding sex until you get back on top of everything, and I have a feeling your other daddies will be doing the same,” he warns.

“You wouldn’t do that!” I protest, but when Sean nods, he looks just as serious as Christian does when he hangs up the phone. “Fine, I’ll get my bag,” I sulk as I stand up and storm out of the room. Silently cursing each of them as I go.

As soon as I walk back into the study the three guys all stop talking and turn to look at me.

“What have I done now?” I demand dropping my bag on the floor.

“Want to tell me the other reason you left school early?” Christian asks, for the second time I consider lying.

“Not really,” I sigh looking down at the coffee table.

“What happened shorty?” Maximus asks as he hands me a bottle of water. I look at the whiskey in his hand and he shakes his head. “After you eat something,” he warns before sitting down on the other sofa.

“I’m waiting, Jasmine.”

I look up at Christian and let out a deep annoyed breath.

“Because my shoes were dead, they were louder than usual, giving Danielle ammunition.”

“I thought you said she wasn’t giving you any more grief?” Christian asks. I shrug as I sit back down next to Sean who puts his arm back around me and rubs my shoulder gently.

“She never really stopped just gave me a break for a little while,” I admit chewing on my bottom lip.

“What’s her problem?” Maximus asks. I shrug as I’ve never understood what Danielle has against me. We were never friends that fell out or even had a reason to dislike each other.
