I turn to find Christian frowning at me.

“I’ve never liked it. I wanted to change it to my grandparents’ name when I was sixteen but Mum wouldn't let me,” I sigh stabbing a piece of grapefruit with my fork and putting it in my mouth.

“And now?” Christian asks, I look at him and frown.

“Now what?”

“And now what do you want to change it to?” he asks. I shrug and chew my food.

“Guess it doesn't matter now, my grandparents are dead so what's the point in taking their name?”

“What about our name? Would you take that?”

I almost choke on the piece of grapefruit I’m chewing. "What?”

“It’s a simple question, would you take our surname?”

"But I can't marry the four of you,” I point out as my heart starts racing.

“You could marry one of us, or just have a ceremony blessing our relationship. As far as I’m concerned, you’re my wife.”

“We've been in this relationship for a few months. You can't possibly know you’ll never want anyone else,” I point out shaking my head, but Christian just watches at me.

“I've known for a few years you were going to be my wife; we all have. That's not going to change now we finally have you.”

I stare at him rendered speechless. Christian rolls his eyes before leaning over and pressing a soft kiss to my lips. “Don’t worry about it, for now. Eat your breakfast and drink your coffee, we will leave in ten minutes,” he says before turning to Mrs Brown. “Please feel free to call Jasmine by her first name if that’s what she wishes.”

“Thank you, Mr O’Reilly,” she replies with a nod of her head before turning to me and giving me a wink.

Half an hour later Christian parks his car in the school car park. My hands are sweating, and I feel sick with nerves.

“Sweetheart, you look pale. Are you OK? Did you get your essay submitted last night?” Christian asks taking my hand. I nod looking at him.

“I’m fine, everything is in,” I reply taking a deep breath. "I’m worried about how this will play out,” I admit. Christian reaches over and cups my cheek.

“If she upsets you, I will take you home until the school deals with her. But I have a feeling all will be fine by the end of the day,” he says with a wink before kissing me quickly on the lips. "Come on, I know you need more than one mug of coffee before class,” he adds climbing out of the car. I take one last deep breath and follow him.

I meet Christian at the back of the car where he’s standing with my bag. He takes my hand and leads me towards the entrance to the coffee shop.

“Have you been here before?” I ask wondering how he seems to know the layout so well.

“No, but I've seen the blueprints,” he explains.

“How?”

“Terry got them when we were discussing your security,” he replies like it is a perfectly normal thing to get hold of.

“I don't think I will ever get used to how much you have access to.” Christian looks at me smiling.

“I think you are handling it just fine.”

We get to the cafe and Christian places my bag by a table and pulls the chair out for me.

“I'll get the coffee. Can you message Sean and see if he's up yet, please? I need him to do something for me.”

I quickly agree as I pull my new phone out of my pocket as Christian heads to the counter.

I'm just typing out the message when I hear that laugh that makes my blood boil. I resist the urge to look in her direction and continue to type my message to Sean.
