“How do you know I want to ask you anything?” I ask frowning.

“Because I can read you like a book, what would you like to ask me?”

I take a deep breath and feel Sean’s arms loosen around me a little giving me room to breathe which I am internally grateful for.

“A couple of girls from school want us to go out for my birthday next weekend,” I blurt out and quickly hold my breath as Christian looks at me. “I know it’s a lot to ask and with everything that happened last month. but I could have Terry and Layton with me, and I will stick to whatever plan they suggest. I won’t drink much and be home at a reasonable time. I just want the chance to go out, let my hair down a little and dance.” I risk a glance at the other three guys and all I can see is them looking at Christian like they are waiting for him to decide for them. I look back at Christian who is lifting his phone to his ear.

“Can you come to the sitting room?” He hangs up without saying another word. He looks at me for a second before answering.

“And that’s how you want to celebrate your birthday?” he asks. I nod my head.

“It won’t be my actual birthday, that I want to spend with you all. But I would like to go out to celebrate with friends as well,” I answer before there’s a knock at the door.

“Come in,” Christian calls out and Terry walks into the room frowning.

“What’s up?”

“Jasmine would like to go out next weekend for a few drinks and then to a club. Can you provide a safe way for her to do so?” Christian asks turning his attention away from me and to Terry. Terry looks at me and gives me a soft smile.

“Absolutely. It would be easier if it was one of your clubs, but other than that I’m sure we could keep her just as safe as when she’s in school or here.”

Christian looks from Terry to his brothers as I chew on my lip nervously. I know better than to celebrate too early. He might still find a reason for me not to go.

“Will Amber or Sophia be there?” Maximus asks. I quickly shake my head. He never forgave them for leaving me the night I was so drunk I couldn’t walk, but he isn’t the only one. I couldn’t forget the way they left me that night either.

“I haven’t heard from them for a long time,” I admit looking at my hands. They had been my best friends my whole life and they dropped me as soon as things got rough. I quickly learnt they like what I gave to our friendship and weren’t willing to give anything in return.

“You promise to follow any rules we or Terry put into place and to not drink excessively?” Jason asks, I nod eagerly. I have no intention of getting as drunk as I used to. I like waking up without a hangover. Plus I like the idea of coming home from a great night out and jumping into bed with my daddies even more.

Christian and Jason share a look before Jason shrugs whilst sitting back. It takes all my energy to not get over-excited. Christian looks to Terry and nods.

“Work out the pubs and which club would be best, and I will contact the relevant people.”

I stare at Christian for a moment, unable to believe my luck.

“So, I can go out?” I ask wanting confirmation. Christian looks at me as his face softens.

“Baby, you’re going to be twenty-one, I would have never said no. I just need to make sure you are going to be safe.”

The last of my control snaps and I squeal excitedly as I launch myself off Sean’s lap and throw myself onto Christian. I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him tightly as a deep laugh radiates from his chest.

“There will be rules and you need to stick to them,” he points out as he hugs me back.

“I will. Just like I did at the fight,” I promise.

“You better as there will be consequences if you don’t,” he warns. I have no doubt there will be the same as I have no intentions of breaking any rules as I know there will be other times I want to go out. Christian looks into my eyes for a moment and I watch his soft side come to the front.

“Come on the baby girl, let’s plan your birthday night out .”

“Jaz, you need to turn twenty-one every year because tonight has been epic!”

I laugh as I look at Verity who is sipping her champagne in the back of the limo.

“We haven’t even hit the club yet, wait until you see inside an O’Reilly club, they are amazing!” Danielle declares next to her as she tops up her glass.
