“What if I don’t want to?” he asks as his hand falls on my shoulder again this time squeezing a little tighter. I find my alarm but don’t have time to press it before a shadow descends on the table, I look up expecting to find Terry standing over us, but my heart stops when I see an angry Jason.

“Is this guy bothering you Jazzy?” he asks staring at the guy beside me. I watch as his jaw clenches and his eyes darken.

“Yes,” I answer thankful that it’s not Christian or Sean standing before us. Jason will defend me but the other two are more likely to make an example of him.

The guy doesn’t seem to have a brain cell in that thick head of his as he leaves his hand on my shoulder. I see the moment Jason spots it, something in his eyes shifts making him look almost primal.

“Get your fucking hands off her now,” Jason warns the guy who just tightens his, as I try to move away from him.

“What are you going to do if I don’t?” the guy taunts him. I gasp as I watch the smile spread across Jason’s face.

“Carry on touching my woman and you will find out,” he threatens placing his hands on the table before leaning towards the guy, who’s looking a little less cocky. He slowly removes his hand from my shoulder and climbs to his feet with his hands up. I notice two security guys standing behind him as Jason continues to watch every move he makes.

“Good choice, now get this fucking arsehole out of my club,” Jason demands, The security nod and take the guys arms.

“You are throwing me out over a bit of skirt? I paid good money to be up here,” the guy protests fighting against guys three times the size of him. Jason stands taller and steps in front of him, all humour has vanished from his expression and all that’s left is the side I haven’t seen since he held a gun to that kids head at Maximus’s fight. I have a feeling this would be going down differently if we weren’t in the middle of a club.

“That ‘piece of skirt’ is the most important person in my world. You insult her by ignoring her wishes, you insult me. Do you want to know what happens to people that insult me? Or would you rather leave willingly in one piece? Because I’m happy with either decision,” Jason warns. The guy doesn’t say a word. “I thought as much.” He looks up at the guards behind the guy and nods. “Get this prick out of my club.” Security instantly does as they are told and we can hear the guy arguing as he is dragged out.

Jason turns back to us and smiles, all signs of the anger on his face a moment ago, gone. I slide out of the booth, and as soon as I’m standing in front of him, he wraps an arm around my waist and tugs me against him. I place my arms over his shoulders as his lips crash into mine and he kisses me like he hasn’t seen me in days. When he pulls away, he has a broad smile on his face.

“Having a good night angel?”

“The best thank you. I was told you weren’t here.”

Jason nods as he signals for me to sit back down. As soon as I’m in the booth he sits next to me and places his arm where the guys had just been. This time I lean into the man sitting next to me. I quickly look at the girls who are all staring at me with their mouths hanging open.

“Sorry, this is Grace, Martine and Verity, Danielle is on the dance floor somewhere. Guys this Jason,” Jason says a quick hi to everyone before turning back to me.

“I can’t stop, I had to change my shirt and this place was closer than home,” he says before kissing me. “Plus, I heard there was a gorgeous woman in here who was worth checking out,” he adds grinning. I shake my head at him and lean my head against his shoulder.

“You couldn’t have timed it better, I was just about to press my panic alarm,” I admit. Jason’s jaw clenches and he looks to where the guy has just been dragged out. As he turns to say something else our waitress approaches with our drinks.

“Mr O’Reilly, I saw you had joined Miss Jasmine, so I brought your usual in case you wanted it,” she says smiling at Jason. I watch as her cheeks flush and her smile broadens. I reach up and hold Jason’s hand which is still draped over my shoulder.

“Thanks, Cheryl, just leave them on the table,” Jason says as he looks at me and smiles whilst squeezing my hand. He leans in and I feel his breath tickle over my ear, “getting possessive, angel?” I turn and let my lips brush against his ear as I reply.

“Maybe, you are not the only one who can lay claim on someone. You aremyDaddy,” I warn as I nip his earlobe. Jason grins as he leans back.

“Angel, you are making it impossible to leave, but I have to go. When are you ladies calling it a night?” he asks as he looks around the table whilst taking a sip of his drink.

“I don’t think any of us are in any rush. Plus, not sure we could get Danielle out of here yet.” I laugh, Jason looks to the dancefloor and then at me, his eyebrows almost in his hair.

“Is that Danielle King?”

I nod taking a sip of my drink. “Let’s just say her attitude did a one-eighty.”

Jason starts to reply but notices a security guard walking over to us and curses. “Shit, sorry angel duty calls. See you at home,” he says smiling before turning to my friends. “Lovely to meet you all. I’ll add your names to the VIP list so whenever you are here you can come up to this floor,” he says with a wink before turning to his security. “Is the car ready?” they both nod and stand back to let him pass.

“Happy birthday, Jasmine,” One of them says with a smile before following Jason who has his phone in his hand.

“Okay so I need info and I need it now!”

I turn to look at Verity and smile.

“That was one of the guys you told me was your stepbrother,” she points out, I smile as I nod. “So the four guys you are dating are your stepbrothers? Damn girl that’s even hotter than I thought!” she says whilst fanning her face. I laugh as I sip my drink.

“You have no idea,” I reply looking back towards the back door I saw Jason walkthrough, wishing he could have stayed a little longer.
