Now, it was the strongest steel in the world.

“What are you doing? Let me go. You can’t keep me—”

His hands, the fingertips like steel, dug into my flesh, grasped me by the shoulders, slamming me bodily against the door, the metal cold upon my ass even through my slacks. “I’m doing what I should have done a long time ago.”

Then Nick crushed his lips to mine, his tongue stabbing into my mouth. His hands slipped from my shoulders as I struggled vainly against the door, his palms settling upon my tender breasts. He mauled them as he plundered my mouth, and I whined with the ache. He pulled back, his eyes glittering, dark, almost…feral. “I want you.”

“I don’t care. I’m leaving.”

But did I mean it? Was that what I really wanted?

He doesn’t seem to give a shit.

“Say the words then, Eva.”

“I’m not playing these games with you.”

He kissed me again, squeezing my breasts so hard fresh pain bloomed within the tortured globes anew. “This nogame, girl.”

I tried to twist away, but his hand submerged in my hair, a spray of droplets from the rain coating my jacket wetting my exposed neck. He clenched his fingers, the roots of my hair screaming in bright, hot pain. “Nick! Fuck!”

But my pussy was slick and hot—and it shouldn’t have been. That was not good at all. This was wrong. Every single thing about this entire encounter was a bad idea.

Then say the fucking words, you idiot!

I couldn’t though, even as he twisted the locks of my hair even more cruelly, cranking my face up until I was practically staring at the textured paint of the ceiling.

“All you’re doing is running. And I’m not letting you do that anymore. Not today, Eva.”

“W-what are… you going to do?”

He chuckled softly, then took my earlobe between the hard edges of his teeth. “Any fucking thing I want to.”

Oh no.

Chapter 10

Nick

For a long moment, we stood there, facing down one another, and I couldn’t help but wonder if she was waiting to see what I would do next—or trying to figure out how she was going to get the hell out of this.

I intended to make sure she understood there was no getting out of this, short of saying the “magic words.”

“Let me go,” she said, her words almost a hiss, though she didn’t struggle physically against my hold. Shewasfleeing here, but it wasn’t from me. It was something much deeper than that.

Go ahead and tell yourself that, pal.

“Let me go, Nick.Jesus.”

“All right.” I released her, crossing my arms over my chest, looking down at her. “Are you going to do as you’re told?”

Rather than answering my question though, she turned away, walking slowly into the living room. Her heavy breasts, the nipples pressing against the fabric of her sweater, swayed slightly as she moved, and I longed to see them naked again. To see if I’d left marks from yesterday.

Sitting down, she crossed her legs, fixing me with a glare. “What is it you, uh, think you want to do here? Right now, I mean.”

“I already told you.” I made my way back into the living room, watching her the entire time. “Whatever the hell I want. And not just for this one hour either.”

Her eyes were wide, her mouth open. “What’s… what’s that supposed to mean?”
