“You should be.Ifit were true.” She lets out a dramatic sigh. “Alas, I was looking at something else in the crowd and you just happened to enter my periphery.”

I let out a wry chuckle and lean in closer. “Ellie Cat,come on…I know you want me.”

She folds her arms across her chest, doing her best to look indifferent. “I’ve honestly never wanted anything less.”

I offer her a skeptical look. “Uh huh. So if I asked you to come back to my hotel room after this you’d say no?”

Her brows draw together, as though she can’t quite understand what she’s hearing. “You’reasking me back?”

I nod. “Yep. What do you say?”

“Okay, I just want to make it absolutely a hundred per cent clear thatyou’rethe one doing the asking.”

“It’s been established.”

She shrugs, her mouth curved in a satisfied smile. “Okay then.”

“Just give me a second,” Finn says when we finally get to his hotel room after the rugby tournament is over. “I need to get some…supplies.”

I nod, unable to form any words as I watch him swagger off to the bathroom. I seriouslycannotbelieve how easy this all was. I know I joked about him cracking straight away, but after all his talk I was expecting just abitmore of a challenge. I’m not complaining, though; I wanted to jump Finn’s bones the second I saw him today, so if he hadn’t given in first, I can’t guarantee I wouldn’t have.

Finn returns from the bathroom with a large black case in hand, prompting me to quirk an eyebrow as I wonder what kind of supplies he’s gathered. Knowing him, I could be in store for anything.

“Okay, where do you want me to sit?” he asks, his tone more brisk than earlier.

My brow furrows in confusion. “Sit?”

“Yeah. Is this chair okay, or do you need better light?”

I stare at him in puzzlement as I try to parse what the hell he’s talking about. “Huh…?”

He looks back at me as thoughI’mthe one making no sense. “For my makeover. Why? What did you think I wanted?”

I narrow my eyes at him, my lips pursed tight in an effort not to let my reaction spill out, but based off his cocky grin, he knows he had me.Bastard.

I straighten my shoulders and toss my head back. “Well, obviously I thought you wanted sex because it’s been close to a month since you got laid and now you’re pretty much dying.”

“How do you know I haven’t had sex with someone else?” he asks, seeming more curious than anything.

“Have you?”

He lets out a soft chuckle. “No. I keep getting distracted by a crazy blonde vixen.”

I whip my hair around as though I’m trying to sell a sports car. “As you should be.”

I’m not going to deny it, it’s a relief to have confirmation that he hasn’t been with anyone else.Notbecause I’d be jealous, of course. Simply because it’d be that much harder to get him to crack if he was getting some relief on the side.

He steps toward me, the corner of his lips curving up. “What about you?” he asks, and it couldn’t be more obvious that he already knows the answer.

I shake my head. “I’ve been busy.”

His mouth curves into a teasing smirk. “Wow. You must be crawling up the walls by now.” He leans forward, eyes glinting as he teases, “If you want it, all you have to do is ask.”

I let out a shuddering breath, trying to maintain my composure as his close proximity begins to overwhelm me. God, he smells amazing.
