Of course, I’m not going to say anything like that. Alastor might have admitted he has feelings for me, but I’m pretty sure one whiff of forever talk will have him running for the hills.

It’s not long before I’m reaching my climax, groaning into Alastor’s mouth as I come into his hand.

“Eat up,” he teases, bringing his hand up to my lips. I dutifully lap up all my come from his hand, not stopping until his fingers are clean.

He wraps his arms around me again and we stand there for a moment, his head nuzzling against mine. “I do,” he murmurs.

“You do what?” I press, the corner of my mouth quirking up.

He sighs. “You’re really going to make me say it, aren’t you?”

“Yup.”

“Right now, in a public toilet, with my dick still in your arse?”

“Yep.”

He sighs again and tilts my head around so he can catch my gaze. “Okay. I...” He glances away for a second before finding my gaze again, eyes soft and warm. “I love you.”

I grin at him. “Alastor King’s in love. I amsotelling everyone!”

He looks at me with fiery conviction in his eyes. “Good. People need to know you’re mine.”

Epilogue

Jack

“What do you think it is?” I ask Alastor as we approach the bar where we’re due to meet Trent and Xavier and learn whatever their big news is.

He shrugs and offers a secretive smile, making me think he knows more than he’s willing to say.

“Oh my god, you already know!”

He grins at me, but shakes his head. “Sorry, babe. Can’t tell you.”

My mouth falls open with indignation and I give him a playful shove. “Arsehole. How can you know and not tell me? I’m your boyfriend—boyfriend trumps friend.”

Alastor just shrugs again. “Trent’s made a big thing of wanting to tell you in person. I don’t want to spoil that.”

“I can act really surprised,” I insist.

He lets out a soft chuckle. “Trust me, babe, you won’t be able to act surprised about this.”

I frown in thought as I try to think of what the big announcement could be. “I bet they’re having a baby,” I muse. “They’ve been married six months so it’s probably about time.”

Alastor arches a brow at me. “Is that how the timeline goes? Engaged after a year, married after two, baby six months later?” He smirks. “I just need to know so I can put it in my calendar.”

My steps falter as I soak in his words. That timeline would have Alastor and me tracking to get engaged in a mere six months from now.Six months.

Alastor lets out a bark of laughter. “Jesus, Macey—your face. Don’t go freaking out too much, I’m not planning to go ring shopping anytime soon.”

I let out a heavy sigh, my cheeks flaming with embarrassment at my over-the-top reaction. “Sorry. It’s just I don’t exactly have the best track record with weddings, in case you forgot.”

He offers a soft smile. “I remember. But I did kind of think that seeing as how we really love each other things might go better this time around.”

I step into his arms, breathing out a sigh as he wraps me in a tight hug. “I do really love you, you know.”

“I know. And when the time does come—however far away that might be—maybe we could just keep things small.”
