“What?” Theon asked. He glanced over his shoulder. “Guys, I think he’s finally losing it.”

The others laughed, but Theon might be right. I didn’t feel like myself. My heart was pounding away, not in fear but in excitement.

I was shoved down a hall and pushed up against the wall near the bathroom. Everything disappeared as I focused on how good it felt to have Leyton so close. I wanted to press up against him even more, close the unbearable gap between us.

“What the hell are you going through?” Leyton asked.

“I...” I licked my lips. They felt unbearably dry. I wish I had something to drink. “I don’t know.”

The guys looked at each other. The moment their eyes were off me, I felt the intolerable need to have them back. All their attention was on me.

They’re always watching you.

I shook my head, trying to get rid of the distorted voice in the back of my mind. People ignored me. I was a nobody from a crime family. The weakest link.

But you tried to hide. They found you.

Yeah...

They always find you.

My chest tightened. I didn’t want to be found right? My head hurt; it felt like I was falling deeper and deeper into a pit.

Smack.

My head turned to the right as pain radiated over my cheek. It lasted all of five seconds before it turned into something else. I bit my lip as I tried to process why in the hell it felt good.

“Are you listening now?” Foxyn growled.

No. I nodded my head anyways. The last thing I needed was for one of them to hit me again and confuse me further.

“Swirly or the dumpster?” Leyton asked.

I pushed myself back against the wall, trying to escape. There was nowhere to go. “Neither.”

“Not an option,” Theon pointed out. He leaned on Leyton and smiled at me with bright white straight teeth.

Damn, his smile is perfect.

“Pick one. If you go into the dumpster, you won’t have to go home,” Theon said.

See, they’re worried about you.

“Shut up.”

“Who the fuck are you talking to?” Leyton asked.

I blinked, and his face was mere inches from mine. That wasn’t what caught me off guard; there was a hard edge to his brown eyes that set my nerves on fire.

“I... I... I didn’t mean you. I was. Um.” I tripped over my words, trying to come up with something that wouldn’t have them thinking I was some freak.

“Told you he’s lost it,” Theon said.

I shook my head. Leyton and Foxyn didn’t look convinced.

“Pick already,” Leyton said.

A swirly was gross as fuck. The guys had locked me in the dumpster before. I couldn’t go through that again.
