His hands tightened and untightened around the steering wheel a few times reflectively. “You sure you want to go? I got a text saying that one fighter is there, and so is his Latin friend. The one who was touching you in the lunchroom.”

Hearing the guys were there certainly settled something deep within. I sighed and relaxed slightly.Good, this isn’t a wasted trip.

“Yes, I want to go.” I turned my head to stare at Peyton.

He frowned as he kept staring at the road ahead. If he had an objection to it, he didn’t voice it. I was glad he didn’t. Friendly or not, nothing would keep me from my guys.

The house finally came into view. There were cars parked along the street. I couldn’t wait that long. I opened the door as he came to a crawl and hopped out.

“Ramsey!”

I ignored Peyton as I headed toward the frat house. It was packed with solid bodies pressed up against each other as everyone drank and talked.

Slipping past people, I made my way toward the center of the house. They had to be somewhere.

“Theon, come have a drink with us.”

“I’ll be over there soon,” Theon said.

I stood up straighter the moment I heard Theon’s voice. I headed toward it, knowing damn well the other two would be close.

“Fuck, I don’t want to do this,” Theon growled.

“It’s for the best. Cut it off before everything is destroyed,” Leyton said.

What are they talking about?I pushed past a few more people before I was spat out into a makeshift dining room. There was a table but no chairs. A bunch of solo cups and clear empty containers that probably held jello shots littered the table.

“Ramsey.” Theon’s eyes were wide, and he took a step toward me.

For a second, everything in me felt good. It had all been in my head. Foxyn’s arm shot out, and Theon stopped in his tracks. His gaze shifted from me, and I wanted to scream.

“Fuck off,” Foxyn said. He looked like he was in so much pain, but as if he knew he was showing too much all-other emotion besides anger was erased from his face. “You’re hard of hearing?”

I laughed. “Yeah, funny.” I took a step toward them, and they glared at me. It felt different than usual.

“What’s happening?”

“You think you’re fucking special just because we fucked you?” Foxyn laughed, but it was deprived of any joy. “That would make half the damn school special.”

I looked at the others in shock. What happened?

“It’s for the best. You stay with us, and we will end up destroying you,” Leyton said.

A laugh void of humor broke free. “Like you give a fuck. You three hurt me all the time. Why the hell are you changing all of a sudden?”

People were moving toward us, but I had no fucks to give them. They could gawk and whisper about me all they wanted. My heart felt like it was being torn from my body and stomped all over.

“Theon.”

He looked away from me. For some reason, it fucking hurt worst. I thought they were just as crazy about me as I was about them.

Leyton stepped forward and glared down at me. “You’re nothing more than a distraction. You had your fun, now fuck off.”

My world came crumbling down around me. I felt hopeless, like there was nothing I could do to save it.

“Fuck you.” I shoved him back. “You’re all just running like fucking pussies.” I couldn’t stomach looking at their cold gazes anymore. I was liable to puke right there in front of them.

I turned away and stormed the hell out of there. Pinpricks of pain danced behind my eyes, and I refused to cry right now. They didn’t deserve these tears.
