“Yes! A thousand times, yes!” I say, letting my excitement free.

“You don’t think we’re moving too fast?” I ask, wanting to be sure.

“Are we grown men that know our minds and what we want?” Cade asks, and I know where he’s going with this.

“Yes, of course, you all are.”

“Then don’t question us again,” he scolds me, his tone stern.

“Yes, sir,” I obey him.

The atmosphere in my room becomes sexually charged, and I’m more than willing to entertain that when the buzzer sounds alerting us that our food is here.

“Come on, let's eat. We can finish this after we’ve fed you, pet.” Cade walks out and gets our food.

The only place that we all fit is in the living room just off the kitchen. I sit in the middle of the couch and Rhett and Alaric sit next to me with Cade on the other side of my coffee table. Our Chinese food is spread on the coffee table before us, and we all put what we want on our plates.

As I dig in Cade asks, “What kind of a place does everyone want?”

“I was thinking a house,” Alaric offers.

“I can get on board with not having to wait for the elevator every time I just want to walk in and put my feet up after a long day,” I say, enjoying the flavorful food.

“Okay, so I’ll start looking at listings for houses. Now, what should our budget be?” Cade’s question makes me uneasy. They all have lucrative careers and I just started my new one, which they’re well aware of.

“I’m not sure I’ll qualify for a decent loan with my recent job change.” I sound dejected even to myself.

“Don’t worry about it. We can curry your part until things become more stable for you,” Alaric reassures me.

“You know I want to pull my own weight,” I hedge, not wanting to rehash this point.

“I know, but family helps each other and that’s what we’re working to build: a life and family with you.” He leans over and kisses the top of my head before going back to his food.

His actions more than his words make my heart melt, and an unfamiliar warmth spreads out from the center of my chest.

The scattered pieces of my life are all fitting into place and all the chaos is coming to an end.

Cade gets the ball rolling and after looking at several houses, we find the perfect one for us in a good neighborhood, centrally located to all our jobs. Best of all, it’s under our max loan amount.

A month after finding it and our offer is accepted we get the keys and sign the loan documents. Our realtor gives us some questioning looks but doesn’t comment on our living situation.

We go straight from signing to the house and Rhett picks me up, carrying me over the threshold in a bridal hold. Alaric and Cade each carry in boxes from the rental truck.

I giggle, not remembering him ever being so silly but loving this playful side. He steals a chaste kiss from me and sets me on my feet.

“Let’s get this stuff in the correct rooms then we can go get the moving truck and bring it over.” Alaric claps his hands together and a wide smile spreads on his face. His excitement filtering into me.

I can’t wait for this new chapter in our shared lives.

By the end of the day, we’re all exhausted. But at least we’ve got all our stuff moved over, even if it’s not unpacked.

The five-bedroom house has boxes in every room and we only managed to set up the master bedroom bed. It’s actually my room and the guys will switch out or all join me or any variation of that when they and I feel like it.

They each have their own rooms in case any of us need some alone time. The extra bedroom is an office for Alaric.

The doorbell rings and I get up to get it, “That’ll be the pizza!” I always have energy for food. I open the door but don’t find the pizza delivery guy. Instead, there is an envelope marked with my name on it in bold slashes.
