As the aeronaut goes over the safety instructions, we’re joined by two other people bringing the total passengers to seven including the pilot. The two others have cameras and I kick myself for not even bringing my phone. But I didn’t want to risk dropping it up in the air.

We watch as the balloon fills with hot air and then we all pile into the basket that’s much bigger than I expected.

As the aerostat rises, the roar of the fire is loud but not overwhelming. I watch the ground fall away and enjoy the view of our home city.

It’s a perfect moment and I get an idea as the couple with the cameras snap away at the landscape.

“Excuse me, would you mind taking a picture of us? I’ll pay you for it, of course.” I don’t want them to think they won’t be properly compensated.

They smile at me and the woman says, “Sure, we’d love to!”

They both turn toward us and the four of us gather closer together as they snap away With me snuggled securely in the middle of my boyfriends. I focus on smiling, alternating between them, and then my men are no longer standing around me.

I turn to find each one of them on their knees even though there isn’t much space for them to do so. Alaric has a black velvet box in his hands and he opens the lid revealing a beautiful platinum ring with three black diamonds as the settings.

Catching on to what this is, my hands fly to my lips, and tears spring to my eyes.

“Elizabeth Bennet, would do us the honor of becoming our wife in every way possible?” he asks.

Words escape me and all I can manage is to frantically shake my head but not in denial, in disbelief that a dream I didn’t know I had is coming true right now.

“Elle, if you’ll let us well spend the rest of our lives being the men who deserve you,” Rhett adds.

“Pet,” Cade starts using his nickname for me, “if you’ll let us we want to tie your lives to you in as many ways as you’ll allow.”

“Let you?” I ask “I can’t let you do anything. It’s me that should be asking you to let me be a part of your lives like this. You all give me so much.”

Alaric thankfully stops my rambling with a heated kiss and the other two join in our embrace each taking a turn in kissing me.

“Yes, of course, I’ll be your wife,” I say when I’m done taking my fill of each of them. Happy tears trail down my cheeks and I’ve never been more thankful for waterproof mascara.

The sound of the camera clicking away enters my happy bubble, and now I know why they’re really here. The guys planned this. Their thoughtful nature never ceases to amaze me. They’re always one step ahead of me.

Igo into work the next Monday morning walking on cloud nine, proudly displaying my engagement ring.

All the stylists fawn over it and listen to my engagement story with rapt attention, genuinely happy for me, and don’t care that I have three fiancés.

It’s not Cammy’s scheduled day off but she’s the boss so I can’t really say anything when she strolls in at the end of the day as I’m getting ready to shut down my computer.

“Elizabeth, can I speak with you in my office?” she asks, stopping in the open mouth to the hall that leads to her office and the storerooms for products and supplies.

“Sure. Yes, of course,” I amend when she gives me a stern look at my sure. I wonder if she found something out about the video.

I follow her into her office and she says, “Shut the door.” Her clipped tone has me worried it’s not going to be good news as she rounds her desk and takes a seat in her chair.

“Please, sit.” Her words are more of a command in tone rather than the option they pose.

“I think I’ll stand.” I’m not sure why but her demeanor has me on edge and I couldn’t sit if I wanted to.

“Sit!” she clips. My knees buckle in obedience and my ass thankfully lands in one of the two chairs on this side of her desk.

“What do you think you’re playing at?” she asks, venom in each word.

My chin jerks back in shock and my head tilts in confusion.

“I’m not sure what you’re talking about,” I hedge, baffled.
