I wanted to throw up. I had no idea things like that actually happened, not in my world, not anywhere close to me. Those were things that you might see in a movie or one of those documentaries, but this was really happening right in front of me, and I didn't know how to wrap my mind around it.

“Why is she here? I asked Andrea. “Why are you telling me this? Why are you showing me this? Do you think this will make me want to marry you more? It makes me sick. It makes me despise you even more than I did before.”

“I don't care how it makes you feel. All I care about are results.”

“And how is this supposed to help your results?” I spat out my words, finding strength in my disgust.

“That's simple,” Andrea said calmly.

He pulled a gun from his side, cocked the hammer back, and pointed it at Abigail's head. She cried out, winced, and began to sob and plead for her life.

“Please? I didn't do anything wrong. I did everything you said. Please? Please don't kill me? Please spare me? I'll do anything.

“You see how a good girl acts? Unfortunately, Abigail, it's not you that has the power to influence the outcome today. It's Mia’s. You see my littletopolina, her life is in your hands. So, make your decision...right here and now.

“Her life and the life of her daughter will be forever changed one way or the other depending on what you say today. Agree to marry me and I will not only spare her life and the life of her daughter, but as a wedding present to you, I will set them both free. Reject me again and I will put a bullet in her head right here and it will be her blood on your hands, and your decision will sentence her daughter to take her place at the club. A childhood ended in one single day. So, what's it going to be?”

“Please don't do this?” I said nervously as I looked between Abigail and Andrea knowing that I couldn't let him kill her. I couldn't let her daughter be condemned to the life that Andrea had in mind. Abigail wailed and cried with sobs that shook her whole body.

“Your decision Mia,” Andrea demanded as he pressed the gun into her temple.

“Okay,” I cried out and all the fight left me as I resolved to what I had to do. “Okay,” I said again, a bit calmer.

“Okay what?” Andrea demanded. He wanted to hear me say the words, but they stuck in my throat.

“Okay what?” He demanded my answer louder as he shook the gun in Abigail's direction.

“Okay. I will marry you.” I nearly choked on the words as I forced them out.

"Alright, the ship'scaptain wants full deniability, so we are on our own when it comes to boarding. We've been informed that all but two men take a break at the same time of night. That's the best time to sneak on board."

"Luca, do you have eyes on the guy on deck?"

"Yeah. He seems to keep a pretty even pace around the top deck so as long as we time it right, we should be good to go." Luca answered through my earpiece. All the leaders were connected to one system so we could easily stay in communication.
