“Seems to me you already decided. Now why don’t you introduce me to this lovely young lady?”

“Linsey, this is George Stone. Montana’s father and the former President of the Soulless Sinners. He’s a rake. Don’t trust him.”

George guffawed. “God damn, I’ve missed you, boy. Come see me when you’re settled. Got shit to discuss.”

A knock at the door had me looking over my shoulder as it opened and Virginia walked in. “There you are. Damn it, George. If you were in here drinking.”

The big boisterous man blanched. “Not a drop, baby. I swear!”

“Liar.” Virginia smiled knowingly as she turned to Linsey. “The girls are keeping Montana company. Dinner is ready.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Stone,” Linsey softly replied.

“Call me Virginia or mom. Everyone does and Gregory, I found a beautiful place for you. Everything Montana told me you’d need and more.”

I narrowed my eyes at the cunning woman. “And does this place just happen to be called the Davenport Tower?”

Virginia smiled brightly. “Why yes? I think it is called that.”

Davenport Tower was an ultra-exclusive sky-rise building that catered to one particular clientele. The Soulless Sinners. Designed and built by the club’s Vice President, Caleb ‘Mercy’ Davenport, a Davenport penthouse was one of the most sought-after penthouses in the city. Everyone who was anyone wanted a piece of the ultra-exclusive building.

“I haven’t decided yet, Mom.”

Huffing, Virginia rolled her eyes at me. “Yes, you have. You’re just too damn stubborn to say the words. Now, before this becomes a big to-do, there are four girls being corrupted by my oldest son. Don’t know about you, but I’d like to keep those girls innocent for as long as I can. George, dump that scotch in the sink before coming to the table.”

And just as she appeared, she left, leaving shocked looks in her wake. George grumbled as he bent down and picked up his tumbler of scotch, guzzling the rest of it before placing the now empty glass back on the small bar. Tugging on the collar of his crisp white button-up shirt, he groaned, “I hate wearing this shit.”

“Then why do you?” Linsey asked.

“You’ve met my woman. You tell her no and see what happens.” George smiled before leaving the two of us alone. The second the door closed, Linsey stepped away from me, wrapping her arms around her middle. “Why did you kiss me, Vicious?”

Stepping towards her, I held her face in my hands. “Because you’re mine. I’m claiming you. I fucked up Linsey. I know I did and I can guarantee I’ll do it again, but know this woman. From the moment you walked into the Golden Skulls clubhouse, I knew you were mine. I may have ignored how I felt and said shit I shouldn’t have, but no more. I see you clearly and you are what I want.”

I could see the indecision and war brewing in her eyes. The woman didn’t trust easily, and I fucked up and let my anger get the best of me. That was on me. My issue, my problem. Not hers.

“Please Linsey. Give me another chance.”

Linsey

In the week since I left Tennessee, I never thought I’d see Vicious again, but seeing him standing before me, hearing him say those words, I felt as if everything was going to be okay.

From the moment I arrived in New York City, the company had ushered, bombarded and told me exactly what I was going to do. When I spoke up, I was told by several people that they had everything in hand and all I needed to do was trust the process.

The problem was, I didn’t trust anyone.

The board was insistent that the girls and I stay at the company penthouse. That way, they could ensure that nothing happened to the heir. Then they insisted I interview for a nanny, even giving me board approved applicants. When I tried to call Alexander, they rerouted my call to a board attorney who flat out informed me that anything regarding the company, or the heir, was to go through him first.

Something was going on within the company and without help, I was at a loss with what to do. My only saving grace was when Montana Stone barged in with his mother in tow, demanding to see me and the girls. The company security didn’t tell him no and when a few of the board members arrived, they capitulated to Montana Stone as if they were afraid of him. Why, I didn’t know. I was simply happy that for the first time since the girls and I arrived in the city, we were free of the company and the restrictions they put in place.

I still didn’t understand why the girls and I were in Montana’s home or why Vicious was with him. I needed to talk to Alexander and find out what was going on.

“Linsey?”

Looking up at Vicious, I asked, “Why are you here?”

“I’m here for you, baby.”
