“Please stop!” the woman cried, as Fury swung a hammer at the man’s kneecap. The audible crack of bone reverberated around the room along with the man’s high-pitched screams. The woman kept begging and pleading with Fury to stop, only to have Montana turn and punch the bitch in the face, systematically knocking her out.

“Fucking cunt.”

Raising my eyebrow at the man, he shrugged his shoulder as Fury continued his assault. Malice, who was eating an apple while sitting in a wooden chair, smiled occasionally as the man cried.

“Oh Vicious, before I forget, we have a club charity run the night before the Foundation Ball. Suggested to Montana that you’d make a good road captain.”

“Can do that. Any particular route I need to be aware of?”

“Nope, whatever you think is best and as long as it ends at the Foundation. Liaise with Happy and the old guard. They typically handle that shit, but now that you are on the board, you can take over.”

“You saying I’m old, Mercy?”

Mercy slapped me on my back, grinning. “Wouldn’t dare, old man.”

Shaking my head, he added, “Don’t forget, the board doesn’t wear colors.”

“Board in black and others in colors. Got it.”

Watching as Fury worked over the man good, my mind drifted back to Linsey. When I left the penthouse hours ago, Linsey was in her own little world that encompassed her nieces and Elizabeth. All my girls were laughing and enjoying themselves in the living room, watching television and coloring. To everyone else, it looked like a happy family, but I knew better. Linsey was hovering, spending all her time watching the girls because she didn’t trust anyone else to do it. I didn’t blame her. Having those girls taken from their beds was traumatic enough for them, not including what it did to Linsey.

I’ve tried to connect with Linsey many times, but her mind stayed focused. All she had energy for was the girls. As much as I admired that trait, I was feeling left out and unwanted. Never thought a woman could make me feel like that, but it was what it was. Before Linsey, I never allowed myself to get attached. I never wanted the commitment, the old ball and chain, the aggravation of being shackled to one woman. Then Linsey showed up and everything changed. Now, she was the first person I thought of when I woke up and the last before I fell asleep. She was my world, and I needed to figure out a way to remind her that what we had was just as important as protecting the girls. Love those girls as if they were my own, but Linsey was my life. She made me believe in more and fuck it all to hell… I wanted more. I wanted it all. Everything.

A loud scream shook me out of my head as Fury threw the man’s penis on the floor. Cringing, I moaned. “That shit gets me every time.”

“It’s effective,” Mercy chuckled.

“You took my daughters!” Fury shouted, slicing into the man’s thigh. “What were you planning to do with them? The oldest is only four years old!”

“Wasn’t me,” the man screamed. “It was Owen. He wanted the middle one!”

Pushing off the wall, every brother stopped what they were doing and froze. Just what in the fuck did this fucker mean by that? I wanted clarification and fast. Moving next to Fury, I didn’t think. I grabbed what remained of his dick and balls and squeezed hard. His screams pierced my ears, sounding like a dying animal because that was what he was. A fucking dead man walking. “What the fuck did he want with Brianna?”

“I don’t know!” he yelled before he passed out.

Laughter had us all turning to the alcove next to Malice.

The dead fucker licked his lips and grinned. “Such a sweet little baby. So playful, so innocent.” One minute the man was rubbing his junk, the next the back of his head exploded, as Malice didn’t think twice before ending his life.

My mind whirled with his implications. He had to be lying. Brianna was just a baby. It was impossible. I didn’t bother asking or waiting for permission as I bolted from the room. The need to get to the girls was so fucking overwhelming.

“Vicious!” I heard Montana shout as I ran from the room.

Fuck. How was I going to tell Linsey about this? I needed to be sure. Brianna was only two years old. How did I talk to a two-year-old about shit like this? Racing out of the clubhouse, I had just put on my helmet when Fury and Malice ran for their bikes. Riding fast, I headed back to the penthouse, praying that it was all a lie because if it wasn’t, this would destroy Linsey.

As a father, I would kill anyone with my bare hands if they ever touched my daughter. Just the thought of Elizabeth being victimized and tormented by such acts not only made me sick to my stomach, but homicidal. Racing through the streets of the city, I didn’t wait for lights to turn green, weaving in and out of traffic. I didn’t give a fuck who I pissed off. I needed to get home to my girls. I needed to know that Brianna was okay. That she wasn’t touched. I wanted to hold her and tell her how sorry I was.

Twenty minutes later, I pulled into the underground parking of Davenport Tower and quickly parked my bike. Once off, I ran for the elevators along with Malice and Fury. None of us said a damn word as we watched the numbers climb until the elevator stopped on my floor. Walking down the hallway, I opened the front door to find Linsey and the girls all dancing and giggling to Disney’sFrozen‘Let it go’.

Upon seeing me, Linsey stopped and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Motioning her away from the girls, I grabbed her hand and led her to the office down the hall. Once inside, I took off my leather jacket and gloves before saying, “Sit down, baby. You will not like what I’m about to say.”

“Just tell me.”

“We got the people who took the girls.”

“Tell me they are getting the punishment they deserve.”
