He nodded too, taking the whole situation very seriously. “Good. I don’t want you walking around uncomfortable during our date.”

Ugh, he’d found the perfect way to come back to my stupid question.

“Thank you.” Doing my best to distract him, I leaned in and kissed his cheek. “And thank you for taking care of me so good today.”

He’d been the perfect Daddy… sweet and attentive and caring and he’d even made sure to drive Gaylen crazy just to make me laugh.

Daddy had even been the perfect Daddy when I’d been naughty and hid toys all over the living room because I hadn’t wanted to pick them up. He even made rules sweet.

But he was so perfect I couldn’t even distract him by looking cute, and unfortunately, I didn’t think trying the sexy, wiggly route would work either.

He raised one eyebrow, looking like Master for a moment and making me want to smile even though I knew that wouldn’t help. “We made it clear that we will tell you if either of us wants space. Don’t you remember Gaylen disappearing for a while when we were watchingThe Little Mermaid? He went and got a bit of work done and mostly just got some space and then came back ready to have more fun with us.”

Okay, that was true.

“But you haven’t had time away.” I didn’t know why I kept poking at it. I could almost feel Ender behind me ready to bash me over the head with a pillow in frustration but I just couldn’t stop.

“I don’t need time away right now.” He said it so sincerely even my confused brain couldn’t find an issue with it. “I had entirely too much real life this week and I’m just getting to the point where my Daddy side is topped off. So spending the evening with grown-up Tabitha still sounds like a wonderful thing.”

“So your Daddy side versus grown-up side is like thathalf-full glass, half-empty glassthing?” I liked that way of looking at it.

“Kind of.” He nodded, giving me a quick peck before reaching for my jeans. “Feet, please.”

I couldn’t help giggling as he crouched down in front of me by the bed. “Yes, Daddy.”

As he helped me into my pants, he seemed happier but he still didn’t drop the issue. Daddy was very stubborn sometimes. “I see it like different cups for the different parts of my life. My relationship with Gaylen has one. My Daddy side with you has one. My friends have one. Does that make sense so far?”

I nodded as he pulled my pants up to my knees. As I stood, I tried to sound very confident. “Yes, I think that makes a lot of sense.”

He must’ve believed me—it was actually true, so that was probably why—because he kept going. “Everything won’t always be perfectly filled but I was looking forward to spending Daddy-little time with you this weekend. So now that’s topped up, I’m looking forward to our date.”

Daddy was so focused on being clear with his thoughts he didn’t seem to notice he was buttoning my pants and covering up the very cute panties I’d picked out yesterday. “And I hate to admit it, but Gaylen is right. We need to get to know the day-to-day parts of our lives more.”

That wouldn’t be nearly as much fun as teasing and flirting with him.

“I guess so.” My pout got a chuckle from Daddy, which just made me pout more. “But I can still ask naughty questions too?”

Because that was always so much fun.

He laughed, nodding as he helped me into the sweater I’d packed. “Yes, sweetheart. We just need to mix in some more general topics.”

He was clearly still feeling bad about not knowing my birthday.

Master had been kind of mean and asked Daddy what my favorite grown-up color was and Daddy hadn’t realized it was a trick question because all of me liked yellow. So now we had a date where Master said we had to talk about regular things too.

“Yes, Daddy.” So I really needed to stay and go on a date with him… and since it was necessary, I couldn’t worry about it.

That didn’t mean I didn’t have questions, though.

“What is Master going to do while we go out?” For some reason, that got another smile from him and he kissed me again.

I wasn’t sure what I’d done but I liked the way his lips lingered on mine this time.

“I’m pretty sure he’s going to work. He’s got a new client who keeps making the most ridiculous decisions and seems to need a keeper.” Daddy rolled his eyes as I giggled. “I think he’s a lost sub just needing more guidance than anyone is giving him but Gaylen keeps ignoring that.”

“Master is very good at telling people what to do.” I shrugged as Daddy snickered. “But I can see why he wants to be very professional. Ender tried that tactic until he realized nearly everyone in our department was… let’s call it interesting.”

That got a laugh from Daddy but he started shaking his head once Master Gaylen called out from the living room. “If you’re having fun without me, I’m going to make liver and onions for dinner this week.”
