“But of course, no matter how distracting I find them as it only reminds me of what that talented mouth of yours is capable of.”

“Well, it’s not singing, that’s for sure,” I teased, making him laugh.

“Are you sure? I could get them to play a song of your choosing?” he asked, turning slightly toward where the musicians still played, without the singer as I gathered Lucius didn’t want anything to interrupt our conversation.

“Umm… I think not, after all, I have only just ensnarled myself a fiancé, and I don’t want to scare him off before the big day,” I joked.

“Ensnarled, you say… mmm, well you most definitely ensnarled my heart so I would say there is little chance of me becoming a flight risk… before the big day,” he said, adding this last part in a tone I couldn’t quite detect. I was also very tempted to ask when this wedding of ours would take place, but I didn’t want to ruin the moment by putting any pressure on him.

There weren’t many that could claim they had all the time in the world and it be true. But for a couple who now faced an eternity together, well then, we really did, so what was the rush?

No, for now, well I just wanted to enjoy the moment.

Yet despite making this decision to play it cool, I couldn’t help but ask him as we walked back hand in hand to our private space,

“So just out of curiosity, how long have you wanted to ask me that question?”

“You mean, how in the Gods did you ever discover you liked bacon on donuts?” he teased, making me tug at his hand and mouth,

‘Ha, ha.’

Then he raised my hand so he could look down at my ring, using his thumb to roll it slightly from side to side, his features warm and tender as if he loved seeing it finally there on my finger.

“I have wished to see my ring grace your finger ever since I asked you that question the first time,” he told me, now reminding me of back when I had stolen a shitty bike and rode past his Lamborghini with a very obvious clue spray painted on my back letting him know it was me. Of course, how could I ever forget his reaction to this, as the first thing he had done had been to practically tear himself out of the car before asking me to marry him. Something at the time I had believed to be nothing more than one of those ‘caught up in the moment’ things.

Now I knew differently.

Which is why because of this confession, we didn’t end up making it to the bedroom. Not before I was trying to rip his clothes off his body, ending up with us having sex against one of the statues on the way there. It was raw and passionate and I loved every minute of it. Although I couldn’t help but chuckle when he started complaining about my dress having too many ‘fucking layers!’

Something that wasn’t a problem when he finally had it gathered up around my waist as neither of us could wait for the time consuming, ‘getting naked’ part. No, this thankfully came later, and after our frenzied sex against what looked like between the legs of a stone gargoyle. I swear I didn’t know if I should have been concerned with my dirty mind, especially considering I found myself even more turned on by finding a stone cock and balls above me at the same time as the very real thing pounding into me as I came screaming his name. His own roar of release actually managed to crack the poor stone bastard!

However, after this sex-crazed moment was out of our system, Lucius carried me back to our room and took the time to get me out of my dress before laying me on our bed. Then once there, he made sweet, tender love to me as I wore nothing but my corset this time. One that may have started on my body but at one point did end up ripped to shreds on the floor.

Oh yes, life was good, and one I knew would only keep getting better, especially when I now looked at the future where I would soon be known as…

Mrs Amelia Septimus.

The next daystarted very much in the same way as the previous one, although this was thankfully without the shadows of a nightmare still luring and clinging to the corners of my mind like old cobwebs.

Yet it also had to be said, another difference from the day before started to show itself and this time, it was with Lucius. I didn’t know why but he seemed almost anxious about something. Of course, I had asked him about it, but he simply told me that he had something important on his mind, however, after today and if all went well, then he would never have to worry again.

Naturally, this explanation didn’t help. As in… NOT. AT. ALL. No, in fact, it just made me worry even more. I mean of course, I tried to get him to expand on this strange comment. But he simply hooked a hand around my neck, pulled me in for a kiss and whispered in my ear,

“All in good time, Sweetheart.”

Then he told me that he needed to see to some things and suggested I have a nice long bath as he would be back shortly. I decided that after all the delicious sexual abuse my body had lovingly endured, this wasn’t a bad idea. Although, I had to admit that with the extra strength I now had, I did find that I could last much longer than before and well, Lucius most definitely knew this and used it to his advantage.

After my bath, and finally having the freedom to shave now that I wasn’t sharing the water with a hungry vampire, I got out of the stone bath and dried myself off. I then rubbed lotion all over my body, feeling so much better that everything was smooth again as I was starting to look beyond spiky. The scent of shea butter absorbed into my skin and I had to admit, it had been a while since I had pampered myself.

I then walked up the steps back to our bedroom, wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around me. This was something that I nearly dropped when I saw something waiting for me on the bed. It was a red summer dress, that was maxi length, with lines of lace ruffles down the skirt that added more fabric as it reached the floor. The top part had a delicate, pretty lace overlaying the soft fabric underneath and this wrapped around my chest and tied at the back in a lace bow. The sleeves were bell shaped and floaty around the tops of my arms, ending in a trim of the same lace at my elbows. And like I said, it was different but also, strangely familiar. However, I couldn’t put my finger on it. I looked around half expecting Lucius to walk out of the walk-in closet or something but when I called his name, there was no answer.

I looked back at the dress, again feeling as if I had seen it somewhere once before, but I couldn’t place when, barely able to reach for its memory. Well, clearly it was there spread out on the bedsheets for a reason, so taking the hint, I put it on after first finding underwear.

This time I went for a simple but pretty matching white lace set. It couldn’t be seen under the dress anyway so I didn’t think it needed to match the colour I was wearing this time. Then given the style of the dress, I gathered half my hair up in twists and secured it with enough pins that were left over from last night’s hair style, that I knew it would take a tornado to loosen it. It was also still curled from Liessa’s handy work, and having no need to wash it when taking my bath, I decided to keep them. This meant that it now flowed down my back in big loose curls that added to the style of the dress.

Then as I was just smoothing the soft fabric down my belly as I looked at myself in the mirror, I smiled as it was obvious that Lucius had yet even more surprise plans for me. Honestly, it made me feel giddy with excitement just to see what our next date would be and perhaps it was a celebration of our recent engagement.
