I refused to look at it.

“Jesus Christ, West,” Lincoln breathed as he sat up a bit more and pushed my sleeve further up.

“Fucking hell,” Jessie growled as he shook a Tylenol tablet out of the bottle and popped it into my mouth since my other hand was currently unavailable for use since Lincoln was inspecting my arm. I swallowed the pill down with the water.

“This looks so much worse than her fucking neck,” Lincoln growled. “I need that ice pack for this, Jessie. Her neck will be fine for right now.”

I clenched my jaw even tighter while my men maneuvered the ice pack under my arm so the fucked up part of my arm would rest on the ice pack. I sucked in a sharp breath of air when they rested my arm down, pain racing down my arm all the way to my fingertips.

“Fuck, I’m sorry, baby,” Jessie soothed as he brushed his lips with mine. “I need you to lay down and rest your arm above your head so I can rest this on your arm,” he told me. “Maybe it won’t hurt as bad.”

I eased into a laying position and rested my head on Lincoln’s thighs. He instantly draped his arm over my body and adjusted my arm so Jessie could place the ice pack in a way that it would sit without someone having to hold it.

I couldn’t resist at least asking, “How bad is it?”

Lincoln brushed his fingers over my cheek. “Pretty bad,” he told me. I squeezed my eyes shut.

“Easy, baby girl,” Jessie soothed, cupping my face in his hands and leaning down, brushing his lips lightly over mine. “You’re safe here. You’re not with Jay. Luke isn’t coming here. They’re both dead,” he reminded me. I drew in a deep, shuddering breath, so thankful for the fact that he instantly understood what I needed without me ever having to say a word. “You’re not that girl anymore, West. You’re a strong, beautiful, young woman. You’ve grown. You’ve healed. Fuck, baby, you’ve matured, and you’ve got two men standing strong as hell beside you now.”

“Thank you—both of you,” I told my men.

“Nothing to thank us for, baby,” Lincoln told me. “We love you. That’s all there is to it.”

I shook my head, looking between my two men—the two very best, most perfect men I’d ever known, or would ever come to know. “It’s more than that,” I told them. “To me, at least. I was a mess of a girl, but you both saw something in me that was worth sticking around for, something everyone else was either too blind or too stubborn to see. I had a mental breakdown, was hospitalized, yet, you two still stuck around for me, waited for me to get out, and you both gave me all of this,” I said, sweeping my free hand around. “That’s so much more than just loving me.” I drew in a shaky breath. “You both give a fuck about me, about my happiness, and that—” I drew in a shaky breath, “that is so much more than I could have ever hoped for,” I choked out, my heart constricting in my chest.

“Oh, baby,” Jessie whispered. He leaned down and brushed his lips over my mine. “Our goal from the moment we wake up every morning is to make sure you’re happy, taken care of, and that you feel loved. Sometimes, we might fuck up—like I did earlier—but you and our baby mean the most to both of us. It will be like that for the rest of your life, baby girl.”

“I love you,” I told him. I reached up with my good arm to cup his cheek, the stubble on his jaw rubbing my palm.

He turned his head and pressed a kiss to the center of my palm. “And I love you. You can always count on that, baby.”

At twenty weeks pregnant, I felt like I had basically grown overnight. I went from having a barely-noticeable baby bump to my belly actually being rounded and poking out, very clear to anyone who looked at me that I was currently pregnant.

Lincoln and Jessie absolutely loved me being pregnant.

Part of it was probably due to the fact that I wanted sex all of the time.

I laid back on the small cot in the ultrasound room and pulled my shirt up to right below my breasts, allowing the tech easy access to my belly. Lincoln was standing by my head, his hand in mine as Jessie sat in the only chair in the room, his hand on my thigh tracing a small circle.

Today, we would find out if we were having a boy or a girl. I was more nervous than I was excited. What if the gender wasn’t the girl the guys were secretly hoping for?
