"Then, shall we?"

"Yes, yes."

The drive was quiet.

"Come in," she said to Jasper after he dropped her off.

"Huh?"

"Yes."

As the door opened, Natasha was ready to give Jane an earful when she saw a familiar face, someone she had always seen on TV, enter her apartment. She would have fainted with joy at that moment, but she couldn't afford to embarrass herself.

"Jasper, this is my best friend, Natasha."

"Natasha, meet my new friend, Jasper," Jane introduced. It became awkward as both persons didn't know whether to shake or wave, but after a few attempts, they decided to shake hands.

"Wait behind for dinner," Jane told Jasper, who nodded.

After Jasper left, Natasha couldn't control her excitement. However, this same excitement died down after Jane told her everything. She tried her best to see him in the same light as he was now repentant.

During their days of friendship, Jasper visited Jane's parents to ask for their forgiveness. They recognized him as the young boy they had seen at their door and several other times looking towards their house as if wanting to say something. Knowing how hard it must have been for him not to know how to apologize, they forgave him and welcomed him with open hands.

Jane and Natasha were introduced into Jasper's clique. It happened that Jude and Natasha had a crush on each other, and it didn't take long before they started dating. Meanwhile, Jane Frank and Jane Stanford grew fond of each other and became best friends apart from Natasha.

After seven months of friendship, Jasper decided it was the right time to confess his feelings to Jane. When he did, she told him to give her some time to think about it before giving him an answer, which he gladly accepted.

"He asked me to go on a date with him," Jane told Natasha and Melissa.

"What was your reply?" Jane asked her namesake, wriggling her eyebrows as she would normally do.

"I told him to give me some time to think about it."

"And how long is this time?" Melissa asked this time, knowing that something fishy was going on in Jane's mind.

"Three years, two?"

"WHAT?" The three girls shouted as if they were expecting that from her.

"What's what? It's his punishment for his past actions."

"I thought you said you've forgiven him?" Melissa asked.

"Well, I have."

"Never mind," Melissa said as she could feel her head pounding.

It took a year and two months before Jane finally agreed to be Jasper's date, and two years before they got married, making her parents happy as they wanted to have grandchildren from their only child as soon as possible.
