The one on the end, the one I hadn’t looked at yet, growled.

“Where are they?”

My heart fucking stopped beating. There would be no blood shed if this was what I thought it was.

“They? The rogues? Back at that fort I assume.”

He shook his head and finally met my eyes.

“No. The females. Where are they. They aren’t all here. Where is—

The male next to him elbowed him in the ribs.

“Where is who?”

I asked and knelt near him.

He looked back at the two others and back at me.

“My sister. Our female.”

Understanding dawned.

“Are you all that’s left of your pack?”

The three of them exchanged a look and I knew they were communicating.

“You are rouge, but not by choice. I see. Swear your allegiance to the Black Creek Pack and you shall have safety and your sister back.”

Silence.

There is a female that shares a similar scent at the pack house.

Well fuck. I turned to Colton.

“Release them,” I said.

He didn’t question, just did as told. It didn’t hurt that I knew I would be able to kill each of them with a snap of my fingers with or without Colton.

The shackles jangled as they hit with a thud to the ground.

“Why would you do that?” one of them asked.

I shrugged.

“One, you are of no danger to me, are you?”

They all shook their heads in unison.

“Two, if you acted in desperation of a female, perhaps you have more in common with us than I’d have thought.”

They didn’t move.

“Three. I assume you will be of some help when we take them down.”

Still nothing.

“Four, I have what you want I believe.”
