Page 27 of Dark Escapes

There were no lights ahead of us, and the villages we’d gone through recently were small and dark, everyone already bedded for the night. There were no Travel Lodges or Premier Inns in sight.

My eyes dipped again as I jolted myself awake. The car veered leftward as he did the same. I pushed my tied hands against the dashboard as my heart thundered in my chest.

‘Please?’ I asked, not above begging.

Nothing.

Within a few minutes, he’d pulled off of the main road and slowed the car to a halt in a layby over laden with trees. He tipped his head back against the headrest and closed his eyes for a few seconds before looking over at me with a half lidded gaze.

‘Only a few hours.’

‘I need to pee.’

He groaned and unbuckled his seat belt, opening his door as the chilly night air wrapped around me.

My door wrenched open next as he reached in to undo my belt and pull me up to standing. Prickles ran up and down my legs as the new position brought life back into them. My ass was entirely numb.

Alec pulled me over to a tree and crossed his arms, waiting.

‘Can you at least turn around? It’s going to be hard enough to pull my jeans down and avoid getting piss on them with my hands tied.’

‘I can’t trust you not to run.’

‘I won’t, I promise.’

‘Fool me once and all that.’

‘Please? What if I sing the whole time so you can hear where I am? I can’t run anywhere for long with my hands like this and we are miles from civilisation.’

I watched as he mulled over my words and looked about, assessing the situation. ‘Fine, you have two minutes, Princess.’

I didn’t have time to mull over his nickname for me as he leant against the other side of the tree.

Trying to get my jeans down over my hips was a workout in itself. I huffed as I tried to pull them down one side at a time, the material barely budging.

Alec looked at me as I scowled. ‘I don’t hear singing.’

‘I can’t get my jeans down.’

I startled as he turned and walked over, his hands gripping roughly at the waistband and hauling my jeans down over my ass, my pants going with them.

‘Hey!’ I shouted, trying to cover myself up with my hands.

‘Nothing I haven’t seen before.’

‘Not on me.’

‘No, but it’s all the same. Now hurry up before I throw you back in the car and leave you to piss your pants.’

I cursed under my breath as I leant awkwardly against the tree trunk and closed my eyes, willing my bladder to empty.

‘Do I need to come back there?’

I growled as I let out a few bars of a tune, my face red as the audible splash of my wee filled the air. But oh, it felt good to let it go.

Peeing was only half the problem, though. I had nothing to wipe with, nor could I pull back up my trousers.

‘Do you have any tissues?’ I asked, my cheeks burning all the brighter.
