"Are you okay?" he asks as he pulls me into his apartment and kicks the door shut behind us.

Zeke lifts my chin to look me in the eyes and traces his thumb over my jawline.
"I've never met anyone like you."
I can't speak. All I can do is stare up into his mesmerizing gray eyes.
"Jaz," he croaks out my name again, and I swear to God the sound is like coming home.
And then he kisses me softly, gently.
He kisses me like a man in control. He kisses me like he knows what he's doing.
