Shutting off the water, I step out of the shower, reaching for my towel. My fingers brush over my sleep things, and I pick them up with a sigh, studying them carefully. They’re not silky, lacy, or anything. They’re just plain cotton pajamas. A cute navy singlet and shorts combo, but not in a million years could they be described as sexy.
Whatever. Rolling my eyes at my reflection in the bathroom mirror, I step into them, hanging my towel on the hook behind the door and brushing my hair and teeth. Stepping out of the bathroom, I walk back along the hallway, flipping off the light. As I pass Viper’s room, my eyes flicker toward it, drawn in by the open door. Viper is lounging on the bed, wearing nothing but his cotton trunks, and raises one finger to beckon me inside.
Blushing, I step into the room as he flips on his nightstand lamp, hooking one hand under his head, his biceps bulging from the movement.
“Hit the lights, Peaches.”
Swallowing a nervous giggle, I flip off the light switch, hesitating at the door. Did he only want me in here to turn off his light?
"Get your ass into this bed, Peaches."
I guess not. Closing the door, I scramble across the room, sliding into the bed where he has flipped back the coverlet. Viper rolls until his body covers mine, lifting onto his elbows as his eyes trail down my body – and my plain cotton pajamas. His fingers follow his eyes’ path.
