He looks sick.
“I just wanted to have dinner with her,” I say. “Ididhave dinner with her, and it was nice until you went psycho boss on her.”
He slumps down into a chair and leans his forehead against his hand. What the hell is going on with him? He’s normally the most levelheaded Sterling brother if I’m being honest. This is completely out of character.
“That was a really fucking selfish thing to do – to both of us.” I point at him.
His face is slightly green. “Are you going to see her again?”
“Oh my god, what the hell is wrong with you? It’s none of your business.” I throw up my hands.
I don’t wait for his response.
“Unfuckingbelievable,” I say and then I storm out of his apartment.

Then
Iopen my door. There’sa small army outside. “Come this way, Ms. Collins,” one of the Secret Service agents says.
I follow him to a black SUV. He opens the door, and I see Celeste inside. “So this is happening?”
“It appears so,” she answers as I climb in.
I give her a little hug and say, “What’s the latest?”
The motorcade speeds off as soon as my door is shut. “She’s seven centimeters dilated – about to get the epidural. Everything is going great right now.”
“Does the press know?” I ask.
She shakes her head. “We’re trying to wait until after she’s born if possible.”
I nod and then look over at Celeste. “I’m so excited.”
