Piper:Talk soon.

Derek: I heard you went on a binge-bake again. You have to stop.
Piper: Who told you?
Derek: Finn called his father since we’re getting ready to leave town. The update was… we ran out of flour because Piper spent all day baking.
Piper: He won’t get cookies again.
Derek: Don’t be mean to Mr. G.
Piper: I wouldn’t. He’s amazing. Do you get along with him?
Derek: I do, not that I see him often.
Piper: You should try to get closer to him, but also, how’s your family doing?
Derek: Where did that come from? We haven’t talked about them in a while.
Piper: Curiosity. I remember seeing your brother Ben drop by the practice a couple of times.
Derek: It’s not that often, and we’re still on a getting to know your brother stage. I know it’s too fucking slow, but… don’t judge, okay?
Piper: This is a judgment-free zone.
Derek: :raised-eyebrow: emoji
Derek: You judge me and my family often.
Piper: Only your family. They’re horrible.
Piper: How are Sharon and her children?
Derek: She’s allowed to see them once a month for two hours.
Piper: Will it ever get better?
Derek: I wish I knew. I don’t speak to her, only her ex-husband and children.
Piper: When do you think I can go home?
Derek: Honestly, I don’t know, but I hope you stay longer. I enjoyed the couple of days we spent together.
Derek: It was almost like old times.
Derek: I’ve missed you.
Piper: We can discuss that later, okay?
Derek: I’d like that.
Derek: I’ll text you before we leave.
Piper: Thank you.
