“We’re bringing her home,” he said. “I was wondering if you… you know…”

“Are you asking us to be there?” Joe asked.

“Yeah,” Atlas said.

“Of course,” Jago said. “We would be honored to be there for you. For the baby. For Hazel.”

“Where do you want us to meet up?” Henry asked.

“Hospital,” Atlas said. “Hazel and I want that first moment home together to be our own.”

“Of course,” I said. “This is amazing, Atlas.” I grabbed his left shoulder. “Finally, right?”

I saw a gleam in Atlas’s eyes.

“Oh, shit, Rome is crying again,” Jago said.

“I’m not crying,” Rome said. “I just appreciate beautiful moments in life. Like the first time I saw pierced nipples. I wept. It was… magical…”

Atlas curled his lip. “This guy is going to ruin this moment, isn’t he?”

“We’ll keep him in line,” I said. “You just focus on your family.”

The good news buzzed around the locker room as everyone hurried to grab a quick shower and get changed.

I stupidly thought about April’s blue bra the entire time.

WHAT?!Are you okay?! WHAT HAPPENED?!

I smiled as I read April’s text reply.

In hindsight, sending a text that readI’m at the hospitalprobably wasn’t the smartest thing to do.

At least it showed April cared.

Which I already knew.

She probably cared too much, which was part of the problem I was having in my life.

I’m fine. Atlas’s baby is allowed to go home. She’s a preemie and has been here for a long time.

I hung out in the lobby of the hospital.

The rest of the guys were scattered.

Rome paced. He seemed more excited than Atlas.

Jago disappeared and came back with ten balloons and ten stuffed animals.

April texted me again.

Just wanted to make sure when I go home there’s not any issues again.

I curled my lip.

Maybe don’t leave your bra and panties hanging around?

I sent the text as a way to get the whole bra thing off my chest.
