I took a deep breath.
I grabbed for the covers and pulled them over me.
Turning myself into anApril taco.
Waiting for Seb to return to bed.
We couldn’t be done yet.
I refused to be done yet.
Being done in bed meant getting dressed, packing my bags up again, and going…
Home.
My body suddenly had a chill.
I shut my eyes.
I refused to think about it.
Being with Seb was more than just fun and comfort.
Now I felt like the clock was ticking faster, even more.
And I hadn’t told Seb anything yet.
Nobody knew about the texts.
I caught myself sitting up in Seb’s bed.
A comforter around my body.
My body feeling elation from Seb’s body.
Outside the bedroom I heard a noise.
It sounded like an angry voice.
I stood up.
“Hey, just calm down for a second.”
That was Seb’s voice.
Deep and commanding.
Then I heard a bang.
Followed by another bang.
Bangs. Thuds.
Something being thrown to the floor.
Then a crashing sound that shook the bedroom.
Something thrown against the wall!
