APRIL
Rain hitmy office window and streaked down it.
My eyes grew heavy as I tried to follow the streaks.
I ended up chasing different ones, over and over, putting myself into an almost hypnotic state.
A little cool outside today, rainy, the kind of day that screamedgo back to bed.
I thought about it.
The second my phone screamed for me to wake up, I thought about faking sick or just not showing up.
There was just one problem with that plan.
I didn’t want to be alone.
I wanted to be in bed withsomeone.
I want to feel his body against mine.
I want to hear the rain smacking the window like small claws, wanting in.
I want to feel his strong arms holding me.
Protecting me.
I want to feel his lips against the back of my neck after he moves my hair out of the way.
His right hand moving… around my body… to the front.
Down.
Between my legs.
A small rumble of thunder in the distance is drowned out by my loud sigh of pleasure.
I’m wetter than the ground outside and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
It feels good to be wet.
To have him touching me.
To feel his lips kissing my shoulder…
Then he uses his chin to nudge me.
Pulling me back toward him.
So I roll to my back.
The covers slide down my chest.
