Gavin’s staying with LT,and as soon as we got home, we both changed. Now we’re sitting on the couch, with a movie playing in the background. It takes some of the pressure away, and while I both know we need this, I also know it won’t be the same as it was. I give her a slow grin, sliding over to where she sits with her legs curled up underneath her.

Her bottom lip goes in between her teeth, and a saucy grin spreads across her face. Reaching forward, I wrap my hand around her ankle, and pull her toward me. Her legs widen so that she straddles my lap, allowing me between them. Lifting her arms up, she wraps them around my neck, pulling my mouth toward hers.

“Kiss me like you mean it, Chance” she whispers.

Tilting my mouth down to hers, I clear my throat. “I don’t know any other way to kiss you. I promised if you came back, you’d never have to wonder about anything between us again.”

With those words, our lips meet. It’s everything I need, and all that I ever wanted. Our tongues tangle in a dance we’ve learned since we’ve been together. Kissing her is like coming home after being gone for over a year. It’s the aloe to the burn of my soul.

Before we know it, we’re a tangle of naked limbs, and I’m holding myself over her with my hands braced against the arm of the couch. She’s got her legs hooked on either side of my hips and together we’re pushing each other toward the finish line. Delia’s hands go over her head, putting her fingers around my wrist and holding on as I swing my hips into her.

Dropping my head down to her chest, I grasp a nipple between my lips and suck strongly.

“Yes, Chance, suck harder,” she presses her head back against the arm of the couch, giving me a little more room to work.

While I keep one hand up above, I move the other down her body and grasp her ass cheek in my palm. I hold her in place while I thrust up and into her pussy, grounding my dick into her. A groan works it’s way from deep in my chest. “You feel so fuckin’ good,” I speak at her breast, using my tongue to soothe the nipple I’ve just abused.

“Don’t stop,” she begs. “I’m so close and it’s been so long.”

Tonight, I need her to know exactly how much I love her, how much I need her, as she shakes against me and I spill into her, I know we’ll be focusing on each other in the future. This is the beginning of the rest of our lives.

EPILOGUE ONE

Delia

“The last time I did this, I was by myself,” I whisper as I walk into the bedroom, holding a bag in my hand.

“What is this?” Chance asks as he sits up, pulling the sheet around his chest. He worked late last night, and I’m surprised he’s even awake this early.

“It’s a hunch,” I give him a grin.

“What kind of hunch?”

Dumping the bag out on the bed, I wait for him to see what was inside. He inhales deeply, swallowing roughly. “Are you sure?”

The pregnancy test is like a beacon in between us. “I’m late, and I’m having all the same symptoms I had when I was pregnant with Gavin. You just couldn’t see them because you were recovering.”

“What did you hide from me back then?”

While I don’t want to bring up things that are hurtful to the both of us, one thing I’ve learned is it seems to help now more than it ever has before. “I was so nauseous, almost everything made me ready to throw up. You’d ask me to make all that food for you while you were laid up. I’d have to go outside and breathe for a few minutes. Then I’d come back in and pretend like nothing was wrong. I was for sure you were going to catch me a few times.”

“But I was so deeply involved in my own depression and pain, I couldn’t see what you were going through,” I supply for her.

“Definitely not what I was going to say, and I hope you understand that. We were both caught up in our own situations. I think we’ve moved past them now, and hopefully we’ll be able to figure out where we’re going in life - together.”

“Most definitely, I’m not letting you go now that I’ve found you again. Me, you, Gavin, this baby; if there is one. We’ll be one big happy family, I promise you that.”

“Okay, I’m going to go pee on this stick,” I laugh. “That way we can find out if we’re going to be parents again.”

“I’m excited,” he slaps his hands together, rubbing them vigorously. “I never got to be here for this part of Gavin.”

“I promise you’ll be involved every single step of the way this time. Except when I go to the bathroom,” I grin, as I get up and leave.

When I come out, he’s sitting there waiting for me with his hands clasped between his legs. “How long do we have to wait?”

“Supposed to be three minutes,” I have tears in my eyes. “But we don’t need it, because it already says positive,” I push out between tight lips.
