“Congrats, man,” Bear says as he wraps an arm around my shoulders and gives me a squeeze. “Lyla and I found a place, so we’ll be moving out next month. You two newlyweds can have the whole place to yourself.”

“Thanks, but we could’ve left for you and Lyla to have the house.”

“The place across from Bruised Not Broken went up for sale. It makes more sense for us to be close.”

“If you’re sure?”

“I’m sure. The house is yours. Well, yours and dad’s, but he’s never there, so it’ll be yours officially when the old man croaks.”

“Bear!” Remy huffs. “A little respect. He did bring us into the world and name us.”

“And that’s where his parental responsibilities stopped too,” Colt says. “But seriously, RJ, I’m happy for you and Thane. Josie will be hurt she wasn’t invited.”

“Avery too,” Remy adds. “But on to our next order of business…”

“Oh, right,” Bear says as he settles back in his chair. “What’s up? Time to vote on patching in the prospects? Did Hollis’s background check come back yet?”

“No to both,” Remy responds. Then he looks to me. “Ah, RJ, is Thane still out in the garage?”

“Yeah. Why?”

“Maybe you should invite him in. Do you think he can keep a secret?” When I just stare at him, he says, “Oh, right. Nobody knew he was gay for years. My bad. Go find him.”

“Thane?” Colt repeats. “You’re inviting him into our Savage Kings meeting? Are you feeling okay, bro?” he asks, reaching over to slap his palm to Remy’s forehead. With a glare, Colt jerks his hand back before he gets punched. “Sorry. My bad. You’re the president.”

“That’s right. I am. Go,” he orders me.

It’s unheard of for non-members to be in our meeting room, much less a member of another MC. Well, it’s unheard of when a meeting is going on.

My brothers would throw a hissy fit if they knew how many times Thane and I have fooled around in here. In fact, I lost my virginity on this very table, and it was a total game changer. Now, Thane and I argue over who gets to bottom. I had no idea orgasms could get more intense.

Good times.

Speaking of my husband, I walk through the storage area to the garage bay where Thane is supervising Jordan’s brake job.

“Hey, blondie. Meeting over already?” Thane asks with a smile when he sees me.

“Not yet. Remy’s asking for you.”

“Me?”

“Huh?” Jordan chimes in. “Are you sure you didn’t misunderstand him, RJ?”

Thane slaps the prospect playfully on the back of his head. “You better show respect to your sponsor.”

“Sorry, sir,” the kid says with a grin.

“So, what’s up?” Thane asks me. “You tell them we got hitched?”

“Yes, but I think this is about something else.” Taking his hand in mine, the left one that now has a wedding band, I give him a quick kiss and tell him, “Let’s go find out what.”

When we walk back into the room, cheers and applause erupt as everyone congratulates us.

Honestly, I was surprised by how accepting Bear and Colt were when I told them about me and Thane. They insisted on giving him the talk about if he hurts me, they’ll kill him, but other than that, they seemed genuinely happy for us.

As soon as I settle into my seat with Thane in the chair beside me, his hand squeezing my upper thigh under the table, Remy says, “I just heard some news that will affect us all. You too, Thane.”

I look to my husband to see if he knows what’s going on, but he just shrugs like he’s clueless too.
