“You better. Now come on, let’s go watch the fire and drink a beer, and then when we’re done, I can show you how to throw a hatchet.”

“Why on earth would I want to do that?” he asks, and I peck him on the lips once more. Fuck, he’s addicting.

“Just you wait, Jasper. You’re gonna want to howl at the moon by the time the night is over.”

“Oh, I doubt that very much. If anyone will be howling, it will be you.”

“Is that so?” My eyebrows rise slightly. “Fine, you’re on. Challenge accepted.”

CHAPTERSEVENTEEN

Bennet

We were both howling by the end of last night, my cock slamming into him as soon as we reached the trailer. I was horny and desperate, and Jasper was just the same. Probably all that hatchet throwing. Took him back to Paleolithic times. We both turned full-on Neanderthal.

I didn’t even make it to the bed, just pushed him against the rickety old table, pulled his pants down, and fucked his ass.

He clawed and panted, and when I stuffed him full, we both grunted like animals until we came and then hobbled to the bed to pass out in each other’s arms.

It makes me so damn hard thinking about how hot he is.

Now we’re on our way to the bowling alley two towns over, and I’m feeling really fucking excited to have the team back together. I’ve missed this. “Everyone loved me at the church this morning, by the way,” Damon says as he brushes his hair back. It’s a bit windblown, his cheeks a little cherry red.

“Of course they did,” I say, and Damon waggles his fingers.

“Yes, well they were a little wary at first because I am fabulous, but I think I won them over with my fingernail polish. I have great taste and gave them some much-needed hygiene tips.”

Carter chuckles at that, and Reed smiles at Damon’s uncanny ability to brag about himself at all hours.

If there’s a man who is confident in who he is and never apologizes for it, it’s him. And he’s one of my favorite humans because of it. He was the one that pulled me out of my shell when we met. He showed me it’s okay to be myself, and I’m forever grateful.

Honestly, they all did that for me in their own ways. Carter with his badass business skills, never ashamed of being successful in what we do. Jasper, unapologetic for the same reasons. He’s strong and he takes no shit. He’s good at what he does and he knows it. These men are truly incredible.

“You do have real nice nail polish,” Reed says, and Damon takes a small bow.

“Thank you. I can paint yours anytime. Your cuticles are dreadful.”

“Back off about my man’s cuticles,” Carter says and then looks down at his boyfriend’s hands. “Although, Damonisright, Reed. You should really do something about those.”

Reed’s brow scrunches adorably. “You said they were manly. You like how rugged they are.”

Carter rolls his eyes and then bites down on his bottom lip, looking much too ready to jump his boyfriend’s bones. Well, one bone in particular. His boner.

“Oh gods, they better not start making out right now,” Jasper says. “We have a reservation, and I don’t know how packed this place will be.”

I pull Jasper into me and plant my lips on his. He lets out a little whimper and then melts into me, licking into my mouth just once before pulling away.

“That’s enough,” he whispers, his pupils already blown out. I know what that means. It means that he’s getting horny from just kissing me and if we keep at it, we’re gonna have to find a bathroom stall in this bowling alley.

“Getting worried?” I tease, and he rolls his eyes slightly, but I see the way he’s smiling softly.

“I worry about nothing.”

“You worry all the time, in your own way,” I say, and Jasper snorts as we move inside.

“You guys are all lovey-dovey. It’s disgusting,” Damon says. “Does this mean you two are exclusive? No more collaborating?”

It was something I’ve been meaning to talk to him about and something I think we should discuss, when Jasper pipes up. “We haven’t discussed anything of the sort.”
