I shook my head. “You’re right. It takes a special kind of talent.”

“And oven mitts.”

“Hey!” I nudged my brother.

“This kitty has claws, little sister,” Noah laughed.

“Shouldn’t you take photos?” I asked.

“Yeah, I’m on my way, I just had to say hi.”

“Lorenzo is here.”

“Yeah, I saw. Behave.”

I opened my mouth, feigning shock. “What’s that supposed to mean? I’m the epitome of innocence.”

Noah snorted. “You’re the epitome of fooling yourself.” He grinned at me before he hurried off to the chapel.

I glanced around, and when everyone else left the chapel to go to the other room marked “reception,” I followed them.

I didn’t really know anyone. Not personally, anyway. Of course, I knew them by reputation.

Parker and Emily Conrad were people I’d seen in the papers a lot, and Noah had mentioned them a few times. Bas Conrad was Parker’s brother and not only famous by association. They all held their own in the business world.

They had a third brother, but I didn’t know exactly what he looked like.

I walked to a table with champagne flutes and downed one before I took another. I wasn’t out of place or anything. I was Celine fucking Forger—I belonged everywhere I went.

Damned if I was going to let anyone know that I didn’t always feel that way on the inside. This was a world where everyone faked it until they made it, and I was the pro at faking.

“Celine,” a deep voice said behind and when I turned, I nearly fell into Lorenzo’s deep brown eyes.

“Lorenzo,” I said. I glanced at the blonde next to him. She had a quiet way about her. Pretty.

Damn it.

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

“Invited by a friend of a friend,” Lorenzo said with a smile. His Italian lilt was still sexy as ever.Everythingabout him was sexier than ever.

He wasn’t the scrawny Italian exchange student who’d come to stay with us in college. He’d filled out, becoming a man, and he was stacked with muscles that made me want to trace them all individually and relearn his body. His hair was longer now, hanging over his collar in waves, and it made him that much more dreamy.

He’d gone from the out-of-place foreigner to an Italian Stallion, and what I’d give to ride him…

Don’t go there,I scolded myself.

“This is Anna Cox,” Lorenzo added, introducing his too-pretty-for-me-to-like date. “Anna, this is Celine, Noah’s younger sister. I told you about her.”

He had?

“It’s nice to put a face to the name,” Anna said.

“I’ve never heard your name,” I said.

Anna pursed her lips.

“Don’t be rude, Celine.” Lorenzo said it with a smile while he glanced over Anna’s head at the rest of the room.
