“I have a gram of powder,” he says, pulling out a baggie from his bag.

“How much?”

“One fifty.”

I dig into my purse and pull out the money before handing it to him. He then gives me the baggie along with his card.

“In case you ever need more,” he says before disappearing into the crowd again.

I shrug before making my way into the bathroom. There are a few other girls in here standing in front of the mirror, fixing their makeup. I head into the first empty stall I see and close the door behind me.

I sit on the edge of the toilet seat before opening the baggie slowly. Since I don’t have a proper place to do this, I’ll just have to use my hand. I pour some on the top of my hand before sniffing it.

I inhale deeply, making sure it goes all the way up my nose. It’s like a shot of adrenaline shoots right through me and I instantly begin to feel exhilarated and happy. I take another sniff for good measure. There’s a little left in the baggie so I put it in my purse for later, before stepping out of the stall.

I head back onto the dance floor and start dancing again. The drug is making me see everything vividly. It’s like I can feel the music inside my soul as I begin to sway to the beat again.

It feels like every one of my senses is heightened and now I’m wondering why I never tried blow before. I dance until I’m sweating and it gets so hot, I feel like an inferno. I’m just about to step off the dance floor to get a few more shots when someone pushes me from behind.

“What the hell?” I snap as I spin around, only to see Ivy standing behind me, with a gaze filled with nothing but hatred.

“What’s up, slut? Where’s your bodyguard?” she questions with a smirk on her face.

“None of your fucking business, bitch. Now get the fuck out of my way!” I snap at her. She doesn’t seem fazed by my words. She just stands there watching me when all of a sudden, an evil glint forms in her eyes. I hope that asshole Trent isn’t here with her because I can’t deal with that shit right now. The thought of him causes an involuntary shiver to cross me which just makes the memory of what they did want to resurface again.

Oh no! Not when I’ve been trying so hard to get rid of it!

“You want to know something?” she asks but I don’t answer. It doesn’t look like she wants me to answer anyway because she just continues. “It’s not going to last, you know? He might act like he’s the doting boyfriend right now but it’s all a lie. He’ll come back to me when he’s done with you.” She smirks.

“I don’t give a shit what you have to say or what the fuck you think. You’re just another bitch who can’t take a fucking hint. Pathetic much?” I snap at her.

“I’m not the pathetic one. You want to know why? I’m not with the guy who put all that shit about me on the school’s website,” she says and then smirks at me when all the color from my face drains.

“Wha-what? I stammer.

“Oh, you didn’t know? Knox is the one who owns and runs the school’s website. Nothing goes on there without his say so. It pays to snoop sometimes,” she says, laughing at the expression on my face.

It’s no doubt sick and pain-filled right now. I should have known that, expected it, but somehow, I didn’t think to connect him to the website. Just another dumb move on my part.

“What the fuck ever! Don’t worry about me because someday you’ll get what’s coming to you for being such a vile bitch!” I snap at her before rushing away.

Tonight was supposed to be fun. I wanted to let go of some of the things that were weighing me down but instead, I’ve just suffered more devastation. I go into one of the dark corners and throw out the rest of the contents of the baggie onto my hand before sniffing it all away.

Ahh, this feeling is so good that I want more of it. I’m already craving more. I’m wiping my nose when I suddenly feel the tingling sensation of being watched flow over me. When I look up, it’s straight into Knox’s angry eyes.

He’s standing there looking all kinds of pissed off from across the room. There’s no doubt that he just saw what I did but I don’t give a shit. Not after what I just learned. When he snaps out of whatever he was in, he takes a step forward toward me. That’s when my senses kick in as well.

I dash away in the opposite direction. It leads me to the back of the club and I kick off my heels before I run out the door like my ass is on fire. I run around the club to get to the front and make a dash for the car. How the fuck did he find me?

Just as I start the car, I see him running toward me. I peel out of the parking lot before he can reach me. I gun the engine as I start to make the drive home because where else do I have to go?

I let the tears that have been threatening to spill out earlier fall, which causes everything to blur. I lift my hand up to wipe the tears away and it all happens in the blink of an eye.

Somehow, I managed to go a little into the other lane. I’m just in time to see the car coming toward me. I swerve quickly but then I lose control and hit something, causing my car to flip because of the speed.

A scream rips out of me as the car flips over four times before coming to a stop upside down. Fucking hell!

I banged my head up pretty good and now it’s hurting badly. I can feel the blood dripping from somewhere on my head as I try to get my bearings. A sudden pain in my stomach has me shrieking in pain just as I hear my name being called.
