I shook my head. “Not really, but whatever, right?”

He shook his head and walked over to me. He looked at the tray and said, “Put it there.” He indicated the table by the window. Once I put the tray on the table and turned to face him again, he said, “Go get packed. You move today.”

I looked down at my current attire and asked, “Can I borrow some…shorts or…something?”

He moved to take his seat and said, “Sure. You have to wash them anyway. Just hurry up. Tituss will be back this afternoon, and we have things to do.”

I puffed out a breath. Was I one of those things? I hoped so. If they had any intentions of keeping me sweet during all this extra work, I would need more sex and relief in my life. I pulled out a pair of shorts and said, “I’ll be back shortly.”

“Two hours, Harpy. You get what you can get in two hours. If you can’t pack it in that amount of time, you don’t want it or need it. Go.” He looked at his phone and then tapped then said, “You’re on the clock as of right—”

I headed out. What the actual fuck?

Chapter Eleven

Tituss

I arrived the next day to learn that Dane had moved Harpy into the Bunny House. This was quite the scandal since none of the other houses had made that decision, but since Harpy was there and Cass was legacy, I offered her a spot. Screechy got one because the girl was annoying, but the guys on her floor said she worked her ass off both in the cleaning department and in the extras. I was not aware part of her extras was helping people with homework or listening to music or whatever their stupid egos needed support with, but she was hooking them up and making them happy, and that was enough for me because that meant they left me the fuck alone.

The freshman house voted one of theirs in, and the junior and senior houses put theirs in. This is how a week later, I was standing in the meeting room at the senior house next to Dane when Dougie said, “We need a new selection of bunnies.”

I looked at the carpet and thought they needed to hire a cleaning service if they weren’t going to actually use their bunnies for cleaning.

Dane mumbled to me, “They need an air freshener.” Then to the freshmen, Potter and Smitty, “Crack the window back there. It’s pure funk in here.”

“We only have two girls left.” Boston was all animated and offended, but damn, it was so much better when the air moved some in that room.

I was annoyed and had way more shit to deal with than their stupidity, so when he made a comment about how we had so many left, I said, “Because they are cleaning the fucking house! I mean, can’t you all get pussy without paying for it? Yeah, they do some bonus activities on the side, but their primary goal is to make sure we have a clean house, meals prepped and ready, and—”

“Hey.” Apollo’s voice got everyone’s attention. He leaned in the doorway, looked around, and said, “Just stopped by to say hi, but…you’re having a meeting?”

I looked at Dougie and tried not to smile. Apollo was nutso, rebel with or without a cause. Maybe his parents were sadists. Something was definitely wrong with him, rich enough to be here but bad enough this was the only college that would take him. I was reasonably sure he set something or someone on fire when he was in high school. He didn’t play sports, but he obviously worked out. Last year, he had a busted eye, and rumor had it he was boxing in some street fighting game.

“I didn’t know you were back in town.” Dougie cleared his throat.

“Now you do.” Apollo stepped into the room and said, “Same as our place. What the hell are we paying them for?”

Boston said, “Well…we’ve been working ours out in…other ways.”

“Yeah. I noticed.” He tilted his head. “You know Manuella, yeah? You guys decided to…what did she tell my uncle?”

Oh. Shit.

Dougie held up his hands, and Boston stepped back, wide-eyed as he said, “Hey, man. If she’s related, she shouldn’t—”

“Not related to me.” He shook his head. He pulled out a cigarette, lit it, took a drag. When he blew that smoke out, he looked at all of us and said, “She’s a friend of the family, though. I think she said no to…did you have a…what did you have exactly that you wanted to fuck her with other than your inadequate dicks?”

Dougie looked at Boston, who shook his head and shrugged.

Apollo rolled his shoulder, took another drag, blew it out. “I already know. Does everyone know what sick freaks you are?”

Boston said, “Hey, man, that wasn’t me.”

“What about her NDA?” Dougie looked at his usual partner in crime.

Apollo nodded. “Right. My uncle is sort of like her lawyer. He negotiated her contract for this bullshit scheme you all concocted, and I voted against.” He had voted against it. We did not get a vote when this decision was made, only the upperclassmen and the board of directors for the frat.

Apollo seemed aggravated, and I understood why. He just returned from an internship in another country, and here he was dealing with this and who knew what else. He looked at Boston and said, “She said that. You left, right? Didn’t speak up or anything. I don’t recommend you follow this leader any further down his path.”
