At Cameron’s house, we find them in the backyard, a sweet boy throwing a ball with his mommy.

When Sergio appears, the tension heightens, and I greet him, ignoring how my husband clears his throat.

The little boy tugs at my dress. I pick him up, and he giggles. “You are pretty.”
I kiss his cheeks and cover his ears.
“Now go and set things right, and if I hear even a punch, I am using all of you men as targets.”
Cato must have not heard my threat, because he’s staring in utter fascination at me holding the boy with a smile. He leans in to kiss me, but the little one pushes him off, and we all burst into laughter.
“Lucas does the same to me when I approach my wife.”
“Really?”
“Cato, you’ll have enough time to learn how to share me.”
It’s as if I said he would share me with other men the way his eyes widen in horror.
Kieran strides inside the house, and the men follow. Sergio’s wife looks nervously at their retreating backs.
“Don’t worry.”
“Easier said than done.”
