Oh, my god. Is he turned on right now?

He’s still gawking and there’s no doubt he knows what I saw. His tongue drags across his top teeth and his lips twist up in a devilish grin.

His unwanted gaze is unnerving. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

Taking my hand in his, he lowers them between his legs.

In an attempt to pull back, I fail, and he only tightens his grip. The expression on his face shifts from confident, to downright wicked.

Curling my fingers, he rests my hand on his erect cock, forcing pressure as his hips rise.

My stomach twists into knots. “What the hell, you sicko.” I jerk from his hold and throw his hand back at him. Before he can stop me again, I get off the floor. Now on my feet, I look down at him, a prominent scowl on my face. “Stay the hell away from me.”

I’m halfway across the room when his hot breath fans the back of my neck.

I spin around and shove him back a few steps. “Why’d you bring me in here? Why have you been watching me? And why the hell don’t you talk?”

Over time, I’ve learned some of Ridge’s expressions. The one he’s wearing now—the feverish eyes and strained forearms—that’s one of desperation. He wants me and if I don’t put him in his place, one day hewillget me.

Maybe there is part of him that thinks it’s what I wanted. I’ve never given Ridge any inclination that I’m into him that way—or any way for that matter. Sure, he’s gorgeous, in a dark and mysterious sort of way. With his black, unkempt hair that hangs over his eyes until he runs his fingers through it and pushes it back. The double hoops on each side of his nose that flare with his nostrils when he’s breathing heavily. And his depthless green eyes that show all the emotions he fails to verbally express. Sometimes I look into them from afar just to get a feel for his mood. Oftentimes I dig deep, thinking maybe I’ll be able to hear his thoughts. But that’s just the wannabe clairvoyant inside me. None of that matters, though. I’ve never even heard this guy’s voice. He’s fucked up. There’s no doubt about it.

“Jesus,” I shout. “Would you just fucking say something?” When he doesn’t, I give him another dominant push, showing him I’m the one in control here. His attempt to hold me down earlier was obviously his way of trying to prove that he has all the power, and if I cower, he’ll take advantage of me. I won’t. I’m not the pushover I used to be back in high school.

“You’re just a coward, aren’t you? Some sicko who likes to watch girls?”I shove him again, and he falls through the shower curtain. Arms flown back, he braces himself on the wall, quickly catching his balance—the grin on his face never faltering. In a swift motion, he straightens his back and comes at me, shoulders drawn back, chest taut.Ridge’s angry eyes deadlocked on mine.

For the first time, I’m scared of him. This is a look I haven’t seen before. He’s always so in control of his emotions. “Stop,” I tell him as I walk backward, but he eats up every step I take, closing in on me. When my back hits the door and the repetitive knocks vibrate through my core, I pinch my eyes shut out of fear of what Ridge is going to do now that he has me pinned.

“Please,” I whimper, “please, just let me go.”

In one fluid motion, he grabs my waist and jerks my body flush with his. My eyes shoot wide open when he begins grinding his cock against my core. Peering down at the space between us, he groans, and I try to retreat, reaching behind me for the handle, but I can’t find it. “Get away from me!’

I suddenly hear the door unlocking and then Ridge pulls the handle and my body comes forward. Once he steps aside, I quickly walk out of the bathroom and away from this fucked-up encounter.

CHAPTER3

RIDGE

Fuck.I wanted her so bad. Should’ve just laid her out on the floor, spread her legs wide, and taken what’s always been mine. I would’ve been rough, too. She deserves it for being a little tease tonight. I’ll forgive her quickly, though, because I know it was the alcohol pushing me away.

For fuck’s sake, I wish she’d just see what’s standing right in front of her every single goddamn day. No one will treat her like a queen the way I will. One day she will proudly wear my crown, even if it’s drenched in the blood of the men I’ve killed for her.

For her. Everything I do now is for her.

If only I could tell her. She begged me to say something, but the truth is, I couldn’t. My mouth opens, but the words fail to come out. It doesn’t happen often with other people, but with her, it’s habitual.

Bypassing all the students in the hallway, I search for the one I’m looking for. The one I will take all my aggression out on because he deserves to feel my wrath.

When I spot him dancing with some slut, who’s got her tits and ass hanging out, I make a beeline for Maddox, pushing anyone who’s in my way.

My blood reaches a boiling point as I grab him by the collar of his pretty-boy jacket, walking him away from his fuck toy for the night.

“Whoa, Ridge,” he chuckles breathlessly, hands up in surrender, “what are you doing, man?”

I slam him into the far wall in the living room, rattling a couple frames hanging above his head. With any luck, one will fall and knock his stupid ass out. I lift with both hands, gripping his jacket so tight, my knuckles turn white. “What the fuck are you up to?”

“Just having some fun. No harm in that, is there,Ridge?”The emphasis he puts on my name is sarcastic, and it unnerves me.

“You knew I wouldn’t interfere when you were ogling her. You fucking knew I wouldn’t stop whatever the hell you were doing because I wouldn’t allow her to see the monstrous side of me.”
