Mahel blinked. “Pretty sure that it won’t be a problem.”

Kresso scowled. “What the hell? You read me the riot act.”

Lyra snorted. “It was only over the com. If you flirt with them, it is like feeding wild beasts. They want to come and sit in your hand... so to speak. Brothels are transactional. I read up on them. The women who get into it do it for short-term financial gain. Same with the men. Fucking for cash is less intimate than flirting.”

She shrugged. “Don’t get me wrong, and if I smell another woman on any part of you, it will be the last time you touch me for a very long time. Either one of you.”

Kresso smiled. “No objections, but I always heard that omegas were generous when it came to sex.”

“They may have been. I am part of a new batch. Until I am sure of both of you, I reserve the right to be jealous and paranoid.”

Mahel sighed. “I could just curl up with my nose against your skin and breathe you in for a few hours. In fact, I might eventually be sated enough to do that. Eventually.”

She snorted and waited.

Kresso smiled. “You wore the toy out?”

She chuckled. “An exaggeration. I also never took the knot with it. I thought I should wait for the cock to have a flesh and blood alpha attached.”

Mahel paused. “You gave her a toy?”

“A life model of my cock. She was curious.” He grinned and patted the pod.

“So, um, guys. Your current appearance is a hormonal thing?”

Mahel chuckled. “Isn’t it interesting? A little sniff of omega perfume, and I am ready to punch through a piece of steel to get to you. Not necessarily with my fists.”

Lyra sat there with her eyes wide.

Kresso explained, “We are faster, stronger, and our senses are keener. But we are also rock hard and want to be inside you, which is why you are staying in the pod until we land and get you to the retreat.”

“Retreat?”

“Yes, we are going to one of the presidential islands. There are food and clothing stores set up. It is uninhabited, and there is one building on the entire landmass.”

The ship started descending, and the guys stood up, unstrapping her pod from the groove in the floor. Mahel carried her off the transport, and when Kresso was off, it flew away.

Kresso led the way off the beach and down a well-tended path that expanded into a huge house surrounded by a covered porch. Mahel carried her inside and set the pod down in a bedroom that had a rack of her dresses in it. The size meant they weren’t for anyone else.

Mahel bent low. “If you want to keep your action suit, change into something we can get under or shred. The release to the pod is under your left foot.”

She nodded. “Got it. Now shoo.”

Kresso laughed. “That is her way of saying we should leave her for a moment.”

They left the room, and she crunched her heel down on the left side of the pod. There was a click, a whir, and then the top split open. She put her hands on the open lip and levered herself out of the pod before dropping to the side.

She unsealed her suit and picked one of the white dresses that felt like it was made of soft cotton, and when the suit came off, the dress went on. She pulled her hair up and let it drop straight down her back. She brushed her hands down her skirt and opened the door. To her relief and confusion, they were not waiting for her. She lifted her head and sniffed and found them easily. The amount of musk they were putting out was dizzying.

She walked on bare feet through the building and found them in the kitchen making up trays with beverages, fruit, and other readily edible items.

“Whatcha doin’?” She walked toward them and continued to get high off their scents. Her body was reacting, and this was the place and time for it.

Kresso chuckled. “We are laying in food and beverages so that we can stay ensconced with you and keep your energy levels up. First nights can be taxing.”

She glanced outside. “Nights?”

Mahel put a tray on his forearm and another on the palm of his hand. A third went on his other palm. “You open doors, pet.”
