“How will he find out?”

“Daise…”

I spun around with a gasp, sending a wave of water over the edge of the tub. “You’re going to tell him?!”

“Would you rather he walks in on us?”

Apprehension swirled in my gut. I hadn’t thought this through. I needed to think this through. “We don’t even know what this is yet.”

Ethan pulled me onto his lap and lifted my fearful gaze to meet his. “I want to be with you, Daisy.”

“But you don’t do relationships,” I said in a whisper.

The corner of his mouth rose. “And you don’t do one-night stands.”

“You don’t even knowhowto be in a relationship.”

“I’ve never had a reason to try.”

Anxiety wrapped its wicked hands around my throat. “What if everything falls to pieces?

“Daisy…” he breathed my name before kissing my lips, “what if everything falls into place?”

With every kiss, my angst dissolved until there was nothing left between us but pure desire. His taste, his smell, and his artwork-filled arms exploring my soapy body had me on the edge of losing control. As our kisses grew hungrier, I lifted my hips and took his impressive length into my yearning body. Ethan pressed his head to mine as I adjusted to his size before I began to rock, splashing water over the sides as I took him deeper than before. I’d never felt anything like it. The thirst. The intimacy. The…oh, my fucking god!

Daisy’s eyes lit up as she glided into the living room filled with flickering candles. “Wow,” she said, gawking at the makeshift bed of pillows and blankets I’d arranged in front of the fire. “This is romantic.”

My heart swelled as I pulled her closer. “I want to do this right with you, Daisy. Last night, at the club…that wasn’t how I wanted things to go.”

“Last night was…unexpected, but I like that about you. You make me feel alive.”

Her longing gaze washed away my guilt as I leaned down to kiss her. “You’ve always been my muse,” I said, enjoying her swollen lips. “Every line”—I ran my finger down her side— “every brushstroke.” My finger traced over her towel-covered breasts before placing my hand on her heart. “You.”

Daisy’s breath hitched, sending all the blood in my body south, and she smirked when its destination pressed against her.

“Already,” she whispered in a gasp while unwrapping the towel from my hips. Her lower lip curled under her teeth as she peered down. “I’m feeling a little inspired myself.” With a cheeky smile, she lowered to her knees. “A lot, I mean.”

My knees buckled as she took me into her soft hands, then through her glorious lips. As her fingers worked the base, her mouth devoured the rest, sending me to goddamn heaven. It took all my strength not to blow another load within seconds, but it was inevitable. This girl was incredibly talented. “Jesus Christ, you’re too good at that.”

Taking the words as encouragement, she worked harder until I could barely catch my breath. “Fuck!” I cried out as my head fell back with a growl.

Once she’d cleaned her lips, I fell to my knees in front of her. “I’m going to need a minute to get over that,” I puffed out before grabbing the back of her head and kissing her.

Daisy smiled sheepishly as she stood. “I’ll prepare some dinner while you recharge. We’re going to need our energy tonight.”

“I have an unlimited supply when it comes to you,” I said, collapsing onto the mountain of cushions in a blissful daze.

Daisy giggled. “Regardless, you need to eat.”

“Then I’ll eat you.”

She laughed again. “Rules are rules, Ethan. No dessert until you’ve eaten your dinner.”

While I forced out a grumble, Daisy took a few items out of the cooler and returned with a plate full of tiny triangular sandwiches. She sat cross-legged in front of me and placed the dish between us. “Eat.”
